On a flight and there’s a kid who’s been screaming for the last 15 minutes. Lots of passengers making faces at the parents. Before you do that, just remember, the parents are having a 100x worse time than you are. Guaranteed. Put in some headphones and relax.

i have no desire to be rich so i can buy a rolex or a lamborghini. i want to be rich so i can control my time and go to the gym at 3pm on a monday. sit at a cafe and relax for an hour on a rainy afternoon. so i can cook meals at home with fresh ingredients. spend on my family and friends without worrying about a budget. that's my idea of a rich life, not the fake consumerist idea shoved down my throat.

Everyone should do this: Record a video interview with your parents. Ask questions about their childhood, adventures, failures, hopes, dreams, and fears. Our time with them is finite, but we fail to recognize it until it's too late. The recordings will last forever.

@thedanielaros Totally my thoughts. We could disagree on the means that were used by the USA, but this just might be win win situation. Such an amazing country!

My wife and extended family are Venezuelan. This is the biggest breakthrough their country has seen in years. Under Maduro and Chavez, Venezuela went from the richest country in South America to the poorest... and one of the most dangerous. I can’t even visit my wife’s childhood home as the government detains foreigners for political negotiations. There’s no medicine. The economy has crashed. Food is scarce and overpriced. Power outages are constant. The media’s censored. Dissenters are jailed. Maduro rewards loyalty with public funds. And nearly 8 million smart, hardworking Venezuelans have fled ...the largest exodus in Latin America’s history. I don’t know why the US stepped in now. But I’m glad to see democracy back on the table. For the first time in a long time, there’s hope.

You can get away with a lot of destructive habits when you're younger. As you age, those habits start catching up with you. So yes, it's not age that makes you weak and sick, it's the destructive habits you engage in regularly that do. I just turned 61 and I'm in the best shape I've ever been in my life--because I cut out bad habits (drunking, eating junk food), and introduced good habits (regularly going to the gym and training, eating healthy).

You know what most people don’t tell you? Staying fit actually gets easier as you age. When people say “it gets harder,” they’re exposing their habits not their age. It’s not the years catching up, it’s the decades of processed food and zero consistency. Stick to single-ingredient foods. Cut the junk. Stay moving. Age isn’t the problem. Discipline is.
