When 200,000 Issaqs were being mass murdered and put in mass graves in #Somaliland. No Somali, no arab nation, no muslim country said a word, some even helped with weapons to the dictatorship of Siad Barre. Only #Israel spoke up at the UN. For that we remain grateful eternaly.

Hassan Sheikh in an interview with Al-Jazeera vowed to go to war with Israel if the Jewish state establishes a military base in Somaliland. Admirable and gallant of him. But here is the problem:

🚨BREAKING & INTELLIGENCE BRIEFING: Subject: Al-Qaeda Political Envoy Engagement with Al-Shabaab Leadership Related Designation: FBI Most Wanted – Hamza Al-Ghamdi Location: Buq Aqable District, Hiran Region, Somalia Date: Friday, Feb 6th. Key Intel: 1-Credible military intel reporting indicates that Hamza al-Ghamdi, a U.S.-designated Al-Qaeda operative sought by the FBI, recently met senior Al-Shabaab leadership in central Somalia. The engagement was driven by growing backlash within Al-Qaeda and Arab jihadist circles over Al-Shabaab’s continued lack of jihad operations in Somaliland, particularly following Somaliland’s engagement and recognition of Israel. 2-The meeting reportedly included Ahmed Omar Abu Ubayda, Mahad Karate, Carab Dheere, Hussein Ali Fiidow, and Sheikh Mohamed Abdi Samakab, representing Al-Shabaab’s top leadership across external relations, internal security, intelligence, and regional comman. 3-Discussions focused on Al-Qaeda dissatisfaction with Al-Shabaab’s operational inaction in Somaliland, despite the heightened ideological significance of Somaliland’s alignment with Israel. Participants reportedly assessed the reputational cost of continued restraint, including erosion of credibility among Arab jihadist supporters and perceptions of selective or passive jihad, while applying pressure on Al-Shabaab leadership to reconsider its posture toward Somaliland. 4-The meeting took place in Buq Aqable District, Hiran Region, approximately 70 km west of Jalalaqsi, Somalia. Key Judgment: Hamza al-Ghamdi’s involvement signals direct Al-Qaeda political intervention to address perceived jihadic underperformance. The inclusion of Amniyat leadership, particularly Mahad Karate, suggests the discussions extended to internal enforcement, intelligence planning, and escalation risk management, though no immediate operational timeline has been confirmed.

Witnessing the failed state of #Somalia try to bamboozle the #Trump administration is hilarious. They're trying to justify stealing #WFP donations and are essentially asking the #US to continue donating so they can still steal again.
Ministry of Foreign Affairs 🇸🇴@MOFASomalia

PRESS RELEASE: Somalia confirms all WFP commodities affected by port expansion have been returned. The Government takes responsibility, provides a larger Mogadishu Port warehouse, & reaffirms its commitment to humanitarian aid, transparency with WFP and international donors.

@ASMAJSL You are absolutely right on all counts. Here is the real problem, sister. High visibility Men weren't just gaslighting the Lascanood situation, they were exploiting it for political gain or tribal gamesmanship. Some might say we have national unity now, but I don't see it.

🚨🚨🚨🚨Our men need to stop the bragging and face the danger seriously. 🚨🚨 During the Laasanood invasion people kept dismissing it saying dhulbahante are crazy and they will realise the truth. The invasion of our eastern borders was not taken seriously until it hit hard. Even today some still frame it as dhulbahante vs Somaliland instead of calling it what it truly is the legal borders of the Republic of Somaliland being violated by foreign armed forces which demands a national response to defend our unarmed civilians. Now the same nonsense is being repeated Essa vs Samaroon or is it Somaliland For God’s sake when will people learn This obsession with SNM nostalgia thinking past victories guarantee future ones while sitting comfortably at home is shocking and deeply worrying. That mindset blinds people to reality. I can already picture our poor civilians being killed in Awdal and Salal while others are still debating clan labels. What I see is the same gaslighting the same denial and the same refusal to confront reality and that is exactly how disasters happen. @survivalAlerts

#Israel is being a great friend to #Somaliland. Since #Somaliland is not there in official capacity we dont need the president seeking photo ops. We would have been served with someone more articulate in english who can sell #Somalilands value proposition going to WEF.

Last night in Davos, on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum, i met with the President of the State of Israel, @Isaac_Herzog at a high-level dinner. Our discussions focused on strengthening and advancing bilateral relations between the Republic of Somaliland and the State of Israel. I also met @EricTrump , an influential global figure and son of the President of the United States, as well as other senior global political figures and international leaders.

How Israel is using diplomacy to pressure its adversaries | The Jerusalem Post jpost.com/jerusalem-repo… In Somaliland "no terror organizations or extremist Islam were tolerated; free and steady elections were held; the government actually worked to improve the infrastructure and conditions on the ground for its citizens; and most people had basic rights and liberties. "Yet the international community refused to award Somaliland freedom and independence, and forced it to remain tethered to the failing Somalia. "Thus, Israeli recognition was both sensible and long overdue."

The munafiqin of #wadani and their supporters. Yesterday ready to burn down #Somaliland. Today playing patriot. Their only saving grace is the real #Somalilanders will never stoop to their level. No matter if it's Abdirahman Tur or Abdirahman Ciiro we never betray the flag.

1-2 Unpopular Truth: In 2023, the #wadani party asked for the #Somaliland troops to be pulled back to Og and out of Lascanood, in-line with the demands of the enemies of #Somaliland and the Biden administration that was influenced by Ilhan Omar and Hamze Warfa.

Human Rights Alert: Escalating Targeted Violence Against #Somaliland Civilians in Mogadishu #Somaliland Human Rights Defenders express grave concern over the escalating attacks targeting civilians originally from Somaliland—particularly members of the Isaaq community—residing in Mogadishu. In recent days, families of #Somaliland origin living in the capital have been assaulted inside their homes by armed groups wielding knives, axes, stones, and metal objects. These attacks appear organized and deliberate, aimed at inflicting harm on #Somaliland civilians solely on the basis of their identity. A videos recorded bystanders in Mogadishu, showing violent assaults against #Somaliland residents, has circulated widely on social media, further heightening fear among affected communities. This surge in violence began shortly after #Somaliland received international recognition, a development that has triggered inflammatory rhetoric from certain leaders within the Federal Government of #Somalia. Instead of promoting calm, these officials alongside some religious figures and segments of the Mogadishu public, have disseminated hate‑filled messages that dehumanize Somaliland civilians, justify violence against them, and frame them as legitimate targets for “jihad.” Such rhetoric has directly contributed to the mobilization of groups now committing communal attacks. #Somaliland Human Rights Defenders are deeply alarmed by this pattern of incitement and by the failure of federal authorities to protect vulnerable civilians. The deliberate spread of hate speech by influential figures constitutes a serious violation of international human‑rights norms and risks fueling further communal violence. This violence is part of a long and troubling pattern. In July 1998, fifty‑one #Somaliland‑origin businessmen, intellectuals, and university students were massacred at Jasiira Beach in Mogadishu by former Somali military officials linked to the family of Dictator Mohamed Siyad Barre. More recently, in February 2024, a Somaliland civil aviation official, Abdinasir Muse Dahable, was killed in his home in the Wadajir district of Mogadishu. According to medical investigation teams, his death resulted from torture. These incidents form part of a recurring wave of communal violence targeting Isaaq civilians in Mogadishu. We urgently call upon: - The United States and United Kingdom embassies, - United Nations offices in the Halane compound, and - The wider international community to publicly condemn the ongoing abuses and communal violence directed at Somaliland‑origin civilians in Mogadishu and across Somalia. We further urge international partners to press the Federal Government of Somalia to take immediate, concrete measures to restrain mobilized groups, prevent further attacks, and ensure the safety and protection of all civilians regardless of origin. Failure to act risks allowing this violence—sparked by political developments and inflamed by official rhetoric—to escalate into broader communal conflict. In light of the urgent protection needs of those affected, Somaliland Human Rights Defenders also call upon the Government of Somaliland to coordinate closely with the International Organization for Migration (IOM), the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), and the Danish Refugee Council (DRC) to facilitate immediate assistance for victims of the Mogadishu communal violence. The majority of these civilians have expressed a clear willingness to relocate to Somaliland for safety. Effective collaboration with these humanitarian agencies is essential to ensure safe passage, emergency support, and dignified reception for all displaced #Somaliland‑origin families seeking protection. @hrw @amnesty @amnestyusa @realDonaldTrump @marcorubio @michaelgwaltz @EliseStefanik @GovMikeHuckabee @PeteHegseth @SteveWitkoff @TulsiGabbard @robertcobrien @tedcruz @SenateFloor @SenatorRisch @SenateForeign @afric_insde @Abdirahmanirro
