My heart surgeon wants his patients to wear this binder around the chest bone area to help protect it. The proper healing of the sternum is very important! It’s on me 24/7 (not in the shower). It’s uncomfortable sometimes, but I’m aware of the importance as part of my recovery. I’ve joked and said when women wear a girdle or corsets. I can’t imagine how uncomfortable they are! I’m in week 3-4 of recovery and I’m pleased with my progress. Thanks for all your support!
