@fuukattino @MitchNathaniel it’s not really that lol, he’s changed the jumper some fs but the added weight/muscle is really what’s nuked his shooting ability. also why his handle feels less shifty/creative now & he’s struggling to create space. the price to pay for added ability to play thru physicality

look how comfortable he was shooting out of the P&R with one dribble, even had a KD like hang dribble pull up, these are shots that the spurs are conceding each time. please just take this into consideration big bro. @MitchNathaniel
getoffmyfutason@fuukattino

24 run was perfect - lower release point gave him more room for error in late games with tired legs - more power allowed him to have a consistent high arc - faster release since he didn't need to jump/put the ball high before shooting

@pmmbasketball High level movement shooter in an offense predicated on exactly that skill lol, he can shift between initiating those actions & coming off screens or DHOs just as he did at Kansas.

Art Cummings@ArtTakesNote

“Being #1 [in the draft] is cool, but I’m more worried about the best fit for me.” — Darryn Peterson There is not a cleaner fit in the entire draft than the Utah Jazz and Darryn Peterson. sltrib.com/sports/jazz/20…

Darryn Peterson’s representation is telling teams at the NBA Combine he views himself as a point guard, per @ShamsCharania. This is notable as it relates to potential fits with the Wizards (Trae Young) and Jazz (Keyonte George).

Ok this is a hill I will die on: the perfect career is Kyle Lowry. You get the experience of being a superstar, but you aren't so iconic that you can't exist in public. Beloved in a single city. Unknown in most of the world. Won a title. Won a gold medal. Made money. Did it all.
Barry@BarryOnHere

Tobias Harris has made $277 million dollars while getting to fly under the radar. Never good enough to have any expectations as a franchise player, but never bad enough to be out of a rotation. Literally the perfect career.

Darryn Peterson… One of the most efficient off ball shooters in NCAA history. 6’10 wingspan. Hyper-smooth athlete. Low turnover. Soft touch. Strong defensive metrics. Perfect 2-guard.

Potential Assists per minute on the ball vs On Ball % Potential assists are passes that lead to a shot that would count for an assist if it was made On Ball % is what percentage of the time the player holds the ball on offense
databallr tweet media
databallr@databallr

Just noticed Anthony Edwards is only generating 1.1 potential assists per minute On Ball this year. That's the second lowest number in the tracking era for players On Ball more than 30% of the time. His scoring is elite.. but is he involving teammates enough in your opinion?

Not to diminish anybody on the list, but the fact that Rudy Gobert wasn’t a finalist is idiotic Minnesota genuinely could not hang defensively without him on the floor once again this season Voter fatigue

Genuinely what’s preventing a player from shooting and jumping forward into their feet with someone just directly guarding them It’s supposed to be a close out rule. Murray pump fakes while McDaniels closes out. Then shoots well after the close out & launches forward on the shot
