@oldscarf1stweek It's very simple. You create a licensing system for chasing legally. Boom. Done. Just like motorcycles or CDL or whatever, you create a system in which there is required training to achieve licensure.

Headlines like this will turn the general public opinion against storm chasing and thus will make storm chasing easier to regulate.

It happened so fast! The Saint Libory, Nebraska tornado on 17 May as seen by DOW A. Rapid development into an intense tornado🌪️ with Doppler velocities of 170mph! …then a quick dissipation. #newx

@fatalcarcrash @Simcoe12_Wx @ChasingWConnor yup, and it was wobbling early on too, then started speeding up it's movement and getting fatter simultaneously. I was legit worried for chasers.

@ButASword @Simcoe12_Wx @ChasingWConnor It took like 1 minute to go from rope to violently rotating, multiple vortice stovepipe. Huge rain curtains were hiding it too unless you were within like a mile of it

Seeing some El Reno talk today. Just want to note If El Reno happened yesterday there would’ve been numerous chaser fatalities.

Some cool stuff going on here, modified OFB is still moving south but seems to be slowing/stalling by Witchita (76F/70 now) Also starting to see a sfc low feature develop toward DDC, core of the jet streak is back toward the CO/NM border at this time.
