@crispheaney And in the early 1970s, Singapore made abortion legal and today it is widely accessible. Does this mean Florida has moved back to pre-1970? Perhaps Miami is not so much like Singapore .. or it is selectively at best

@CCDPetersen stricter rule of law and there are less barriers to building more housing (obviously not perfect mapping)

Big news today for @InstituteCicero homelessness work as @GovRonDeSantis signs HB 1365, the toughest homelessness law in the nation. -Ban on street camping -End of “Housing First” in FL -Accountability for cities/NGOs We’ve been working and fighting on this for years. It takes courageous leaders to get it done.🧵

Crypto loves Florida but Florida does not return the favor. Florida has not yet introduced or enacted 2022 amendments to the UCC, which address electronic assets, including those on blockchain. Same with Texas.

Women’s health is the foundation for social and economic development in Africa For two reasons: 1. Women represent ~50% of the continent’s human resources but contribute 33% to GDP If more countries focused on advancing women’s health and equality, by 2025 the continent could add $316 billion or 10% to GDP. 2. Women bear life The better the health of African children, the more productive the continent's workforce and future economy. However, a child’s health depends on their mother’s health, starting before conception. In Part 1 of our 3 Part series on FemTech in Africa, @OnaAliakai and I set the context around macro, demographic, and social factors holding African women back from contributing more to the economy by observing the following issues: - Menstrual Health - Fertility and Adolescent Pregnancy - Sexually Transmitted Infections - Maternal Health We learned that: 1. Menstrual Health challenges stem from period poverty, meaning many African women cannot afford to purchase sanitary products or manage their periods with dignity. They exchange sex and other forms of work for pads alongside using alternatives like chicken feathers, mud, and newspapers, or reusable pads like old clothes and pieces of blankets. Moreover, the lack of adequate sanitation facilities in schools and public places results in frequent school absences and hampered productivity in the workplace. The consequences tend to be 1. early school dropout, which leads to early marriage and childbearing, and 2. wage loss and hindered career advancement for working women, both situational limitations to a woman’s economic potential.

More ways to earn Ondo Points! 👀
Ondo Foundation@OndoFoundation

We're overwhelmed by the response to the Ondo Points program. Our gratitude goes out to the community for your enthusiastic participation thus far! 🚀 We are excited to announce the First Wave of our Ondo Points Program. This initiative is part of our ongoing effort to recognize and reward our community members and spread awareness of the Ondo Ecosystem. 📚 Read the Details: blog.ondo.foundation/ondo-points-th… A New Twist in the Ondo Points Program 👀 In the initial drop of Ondo Points via the “Wasted Stablecoin Campaign”, we awarded Points proportionate to interest income that holders of conventional stablecoins missed out on, encouraging them to learn about the Ondo Ecosystem’s interest-bearing alternatives. In this new campaign, Ondo Points will be awarded proportionately to the amount of interest each participant actually earns through $OUSG, $USDY, and @FluxDeFi, as well as through other activities that support the Ondo Ecosystem. In the First Wave, we’re focusing on the following specific ways to earn points: 🌊 Retroactive Points for Holding OUSG and USDY, or using Flux: We're delighted to offer points retroactively to those who have used Flux or held OUSG (the current collateral for Flux), USDY, or $mUSD. This is our way of saying thank you for your trust and early adoption. 🪙 USDY: Earn points, and interest, for holding USDY (on @solana @0xMantle and @ethereum). Earn additional points by minting new USDY. 🪙 mUSD: Earn points by holding mUSD on @0xMantle. Acquire mUSD via DEX on @OpenOceanGlobal or @SwapsicleDEX, or convert your USDY for mUSD on ondo.finance/convert 🌐 DeFi Ecosystem: Earn points for providing liquidity in USDY at @Uniswap on Ethereum via @Range_Protocol, or on @FusionX_Finance or @Agnidex also via @Range_Protocol on @0xMantle, or on @orca_so or @RaydiumProtocol via @Kamino_Finance on @solana. Earn points for buying USDY via aggregators such as @OpenOceanGlobal on Mantle, @JupiterExchange on Solana, or @CoWSwap on Ethereum. 🤝 Flux Lending: Lend stablecoins at @FluxDeFi over-collateralized by tokenized US Treasuries from @OndoFinance and earn points. 🗳️ DAO Governance: Earn points by delegating your $ONDO voting power or vote on proposals yourself. Bonus points for becoming an active delegate. 💎 Diamond Hands: CoinList purchasers who claim their $ONDO tokens by March 31 will earn more points according to their stakes. Except for paper hands, who’ll be excluded from this reward pool. We are currently in the process of finalizing the details of this new points distribution system. We encourage our community members to stay tuned for further updates. The exact number of points and how they translate based on these different activities will be clarified in the future. Second Wave: Expanding Collaborations The upcoming second wave of the Ondo Points Program will include collaborations with new projects, potentially offering retroactive rewards to their communities. This will expand the scope and opportunities for earning Ondo Points and allow us to form deeper bonds with other ecosystems. If you are part of a project or community that has potential synergies with the Ondo Ecosystem and would like to discuss potential collaboration on future Ondo Points Waves, please contact us. Leaderboard Launch To celebrate your contributions and investment wisdom, our Ondo Points leaderboard is now live. It currently tracks points from the "Wasted Stablecoin Campaign" and will soon be updated to reflect points earned through this newly announced First Wave campaign. Stay Connected, Stay Involved Your ongoing engagement and feedback are what empower us to make Ondo the best it can be. We're excited about what the future holds and are thrilled to have you with us every step of the way.

As 2024 starts we wanted to recap what we’ve done and where we’re headed. We just published a blog on our vision and roadmap for building institutional-grade onchain products for everyone. 🌊 blog.ondo.finance/ondos-journey-… In it we talk about how we at @OndoFinance see the state of TradFi and onchain finance, the opportunities and challenges we face in bringing RWAs onchain, and how we’re thinking about our product suite moving forward. We also hint at some big announcements we’re planning to make over the next few weeks. If you’re interested in getting an overview of what we’ve been up to or where we’re going — or even if you’re just interested in RWAs as a whole — we’d encourage you to take a read. Feedback welcome!

@LukeGromen Well, pretty much same argument made to end Cold War … USSR as model can’t economically succeed but we will out spend it on weapons etc in any event. If we left it to economically can’t succeed, would the Cold War have ended when it did?

I have yet to hear a coherent explanation for how Russia simultaneously has both a catastrophic demographic problem AND represents an imminent threat to overrun the EU (which requires massive amounts of troops as the US learned in Iraq).
Mike Pompeo@mikepompeo

If Putin wins, he won't stop at Ukraine's border. Our allies and our interests will face a constant greater threat, and the cost to America will be far higher. It is in our core interest to provide Ukraine with the weapons to win and end the war.
