This is one of the reasons I love what I do!! Seeing our kids accomplish something they have failed multiple times before. It takes a lot of mental toughness, and courage to step back up to a barbell knowing you’ve failed that weight prior to attempting it again. #CometPride

PSA: if you’re an athlete wanting to get bigger/stronger or a coach who wants your players to be bigger and stronger, you cannot skip breakfast AND rely on a government regulated cafeteria meal for lunch. Not gonna happen.

We talked about the consistency of lifting/training year round this week in class as we begin phase 2. “When something becomes normal, then there isn’t abnormal.” As I get older as a highschool strength coach, over 20 years now. There are always two facts when I think of “THE GREAT ONES” when it comes to athletes. 1. They were consistent 2. They know what it takes Show up. Work. Listen. Attend. Intent. Coachable. Be Present. Effort. Keep learning. However you want to phrase it or put it on a shirt. Those three “phrases” are very simple but very hard, AND ITS THE WAY.
