Hotter and drier conditions are expected across West Central Texas next week, with temperatures gradually increasing. By Thursday, highs may reach 100–103° across parts of the Big Country and northwestern Concho Valley.

Incredible rainfall totals across South-Central Texas over the past five days, including 28.23 inches in Uvalde County. Repeated storms with rainfall rates of 2–5 inches per hour caused catastrophic flooding.

It's kind of interesting how sometimes these little MCVs in weak tropical systems develop small "eye like" features long before the system is robust enough to have a true subsident eye. The most famous one I remember was from TS Gordon in 2018 where it had a small eye right offshore of Florida and kind of freaked us out, but it turned out to just be a transient MCV. In this case the system (#91L) is even weaker, but well see if this MCV can become a more dominant feature over time.

HRRR continues to show a strengthening low pressure system.
If this were to actually come into fruition, wouldn’t expect anything extreme or anything like that.

TROPICS UPDATE: GRAF model shows the possible timing and movement of the Gulf low over the weekend. It could be a significant rain-maker for the Florida Gulf coast, as the models show very slow drifting towards the east. There is still a low chance (20%) of tropical development.
