@CHIdrives
So Chicago, do you think you can "drive"?

@ChristinaHaas17 @RpsAgainstTrump I know. It's getting even harder to know what is real anymore. But keep the faith... and a good fight.
🙂

@chapinthecity A lot of these people are those who didn't have a plan for voting, including first-timers. I saw groups of people getting off buses to go to Merlo.
OTOH, it's inspirng. We've had an orange stain on this country for almost 10 years. I want to see it wiped-out.
English

@RpsAgainstTrump Whichever moment you choose, it says more about the chooser than it does about anything else. Some of us saw him as unfit for office or as a human since the late 1990s and early 2000s.
English

@carsruindenver @kingharis @BobFromAccounts @ob_cycler ... and EVs won't reduce energy usage. Moving from ICEs to EVs moves the source from one type to another. This is not even considering non-green energy production sources.
These people think if you have a problem with 17 variables and you solve 1, then the problem goes away.
English

Strange take for someone who calls himself a green ecologist. I’m working towards reduced car dependency, improved public transport, and better cycle lanes.
Electric vehicles are not the solution to any of the above just a continuation of dependency
AnotherGreen@Anothergreen
@BobFromAccounts @PaoloIskandar64 I have loved a lot of your tweets but if you are working against EVs, sadly you are cheering on the internal combustion engine and contributing to climate chaos. Good bye, muting like I would a climate change sceptic.
English

@dreamsgonenova It's amazing so many young and older people I know who are into sci-fi/ fantasy/ superheros (old and new, Star Wars, Trek, Harry Poter, LOTR, Marvel, etc.) where the bad guys were so explicitly apparent would then vote for bad guys when faced with the choice IRL.
English

@BobFromAccounts This shows a dreadful lack of concern for other people, especially those using wheelchairs/walkers or parents with strollers.
But the DailyMail. 🙄 "I tried to kill someone in front of my very own house and the government won't let me do it."
English

It’s 9:30am on a Sunday with rains ahead. The line of people waiting to vote here in Lincoln Park (Chicago) stretches around the block #Democracy2024 🗳 #electionday2024 👏🇺🇸

English

@Crash_Barry @USPS If a postal carrier will do this- in flagrant violation of federal laws, then you can safely assume that your mailed ballot may not be safe either.
English

A @USPS mail carrier in the vicinity of Skowhegan #Maine , driving vehicle # 0209919, is violating the Hatch Act, the fed law which prohibits postal workers from electioneering using gov't vehicle. I'd be concerned about this employee handling mail- in ballots. #mepolitics

@bikelakecity When people like that can't face reality, they resort to projection.
They think something is soft about people who use their legs to walk or bike to get around. Yet using almost no personal physical power, froth at the mouth if they have to do a two-block detour in their car.
🙄
English

Car bros are constantly calling me soft, or a beta or a soy boy for cycling. The truth is most drivers don’t have the balls (or the legs) to ride a bike in the city #slc

English

@Peorhum @jm_mcgrath It's weird almost no driver in the USA understands this too. BUT, these same drivers get upset when ANOTHER driver enters an intersection, illegally stops in it, thereby blocks it, and prevents them from going straight or making a turn.
Cognitive dissonance is a hideous drug.
English

@jm_mcgrath You are not allowed to enter an intersection unless you KNOW you can pass through it.Meaning you are NOT allowed to enter regardless of the lights if other cars are stopped in the intersection due to traffic beyond the lights. What you are describing is illegal driving.
English

@YPLAC @TheoHopkins4321 Someone who has a car like that has some unresolved personality and self-esteem issue. So it tracks that they would have a wankpanzer with vanity (or what I call "insanity") plates.
The car and plates are a symptom of the same issue[s].
English

@chapinthecity @whitetailani @Metra This thing pretending to be a schedule makes my eyes and head hurt.
Khronos must be spinning in his grave.
English

@whitetailani I love 24-hour time and it's the format for every timekeeper I won.
Ironic that the people who love 12-hour time are always the ones to rarely specify AM or PM when denoting the time for something.
English

@ob_cycler Trunk or treat? So now they're telling kids to go near a stranger's trunk during Halloween?
"Let's fix this dysfunction, by being even more dysfunction."
English

@JimA21754232 @bikelaneuprise @ChicagoDOT @ChiCritMass @bikegridnow @chicagobikesox @carsNbikelane @chi_streets Those "tow zone" signs are like monster/horror B-movies from the 1950s. They're not the least bit scary and are actually quaint and aren't meant to have any meaningful or the intended impact.
English

@hockeymed @sherwick216 @foxyjewishmama Came to write exactly this. This law prohibiting entering and stopping in intersections is explicitly listed in both the Chicago municipal code and the Illinois statutes.
English

@sherwick216 @foxyjewishmama You cannot enter the intersection unless you know that you can exit it legally
English

@MeidasTouch So Nicky Jam didn't{ 1) pay attention to Trump's abysmal management of the economy (even exclusive of COVID) during his presidency and; 2) didn't care about all those other ethnic groups Trump directly debased and dehumanized since walking down that escalator in 2016.
English

Nicky Jam, the Puerto Rican/Dominican artist who endorsed Trump at a rally last month despite Donald Trump not even knowing he was a man (Trump told the crowd, "She's hot!") has rescinded his endorsement of Trump. He has 7.7 million followers on TikTok and 43.5 million on IG.
Adrian Carrasquillo@Carrasquillo
NEWS: In Instagram video @NickyJamPR RENOUNCES his support for Trump after rally comment about Puerto Rico being a floating island of garbage. Says he supported him because he thought he was better for the economy but never thought something like this would happen weeks later.
