@betsvigi9 @jacquemusx Hair uncovered is fine for some muslim women. But I'm pretty sure muslim women don't rest their bollocks on men's necks like Imane does.

@jacquemusx Why isn’t Imane’s hair covered? I thought that Muslim women had to cover their hair. Why is it that rule doesn’t apply to Imane? I think everyone knows why 🧐

@NewZealandBoss While I don't think anyone should be carrying knives (other than a v.small pocket knife) as a rule, I don't think there's any evidence to support your statement. And the whinging about knives on planes is still bullshit. You can carry a small knife on a plane too.

@PronouncedHare That all well and good - unless you and I are funding it. We'd all be braver with the NZ public funding our businesses.

You know I think that te reo cafe is more likely than not to go broke. Not because of the language. Just because hospitality is a risky business and most people who go into business fail. But every person who’s ever tried it is 10x braver than anyone who hasn’t. Good on anyone who gives it a go.

WHY DON’T OUR MOTHERS HELP US UNDERSTAND PERIMENOPAUSE. WHY DID I HAVE TO DO THIS BY MYSELF? They never told us shit. Nothing. Nothing about the actual role of estrogen in like, every single neurological function. Not the anxiety, or itching or PVC’s and palpitations. Not the histamine reactions, or the pelvic floor issues, or the sore joints occasionally. They didn’t say a word about mood swings or how important progesterone is or what it does or what happens during luteal. THAT ENDS NOW. MY DAUGHTER WILL BE PREPARED, DAMMIT. Ladies, if you have a question I have become an effing encyclopedia of women’s health over the past 3-4 months. Holy shit what a disservice. Hot flashes? Ha! I’d trade 90% of this shit for hot flashes.

@ZooNealand It's a load of shit, mainly about the gays. It doesnt appear to be about bullying, as they coerce everyone aka bully everyone to follow them and to fork over money to them. What they spend it on who knows.

@actparty How about making it easier to register home grown tech? Someone (we know exactly who) is pulling the strings at ACVM to keep tech stuck in the system. And we're talking low risk tech that should sail through the system. The 'inhibitor' regs has tech with env benefits buried.

If a product is safely used overseas, there’s no reason Kiwi farmers should be left waiting years for it here. We're changing the law to make it faster and easier to access safe agricultural chemicals and veterinary medicines already approved by trusted overseas regulators.

Remember Asia Bibi, a Pakistani Christian woman who spent 8 years on death row after being accused of “blasphemy” for drinking water from a Muslim’s cup. Asia was working in the fields with her Muslim coworkers. She got thirsty and went to fetch water from the well, where she took a drink with an old metal cup she had found. That’s all it took. Christians are considered dirty and impure in Islam, and she was accused of attempting to contaminate the Muslims’ water just by drinking from their cup. She was sentenced to death by hanging. The governor of her province voiced opposition to the verdict and was assassinated by his own bodyguard. When she was finally acquitted in 2018 due to international pressure, tens of thousands of Muslims rioted, demanding her immediate execution. A local poll found that 10 MILLION Pakistanis would personally kill her if given the chance. Just for drinking water from a Muslim’s cup. Her lawyer had to flee the country. And after months in hiding, she was finally able to escape Pakistan and received asylum in Canada. This is Pakistan, where non-Muslims live under the constant threat of death. The more I learn about this country, the more it just feels like ISIS with a formal government.

@InkFromAStone @DoctorLemma 1 pair of shoes VS 5 pairs of shoes. And let's not pretend those 5 pairs of shoes would have been made of what? low cruelty leather? Organic cotton? Waffling on about "permanent regional harm" through a 1st world problems lens Here's a dude with answers and here's you with none

@DoctorLemma This isn't "solving a problem", this isn't "humanitarian", this is another short-sighted white savior model where the pretense of "helping" is actually causing long-term to permanent regional harm because it's another cheap plastic answer to a socioeconomic issue.

There’s a shoe that adjusts and expands five sizes and lasts a child up to five years. It was invented by a young American named Kenton Lee, who was volunteering at an orphanage outside Nairobi, Kenya in 2007. Walking to church one day with the children, he looked down at a girl beside him in a white dress and saw she’d cut open the front of her shoes so her toes could stick out. Her feet had outgrown them and no new ones were coming. He went home to Idaho and spent the next six years figuring out how to build a shoe that could grow with a child. Nike, Adidas, Crocs, and Toms all turned the idea down. He ended up buying 20 pairs of Crocs himself and cutting them up to prototype it. The Shoe That Grows finally launched in 2014. Around 400,000 pairs have now been distributed in over 100 countries. Over 1.5 billion people worldwide get sick from soil parasites that enter the body through bare or exposed feet. Mostly children.

@nzpoliticsgroup At Bombay the issue was in part due to permitting development in an already congested and poorly designed area. Gotta have that KFC tho.

Alert: Traffic madness: 🚨🚨🚨 Now I’m not one to complain as everyone knows 😎 but the traffic problem in this WOKE city of ours is out of control !! I waited 50 minutes on Onewa road this morning just to get down to the motorway. No wonder productivity is going backwards in this country of ours. Get a grip ! @NZNationalParty @AklTransport

@Grizzly_Shark @virg72878738 @canderlodge @BeaumontBee If it will push you to the point where you need a good bank then, yeah, expensive hobbies need to be wound back. Regardless, you have to manage your life in line with your earnings, no after pay, no payday loans no new phone. Plenty of people on much less not at the food banks.

I'm interested in what reasons kids would give for *preferring* mixed sex toilets in school.
Just Me@justme13866752

@ali_allon @loreto7 @BirdyBooky The “pushback” is in reply to another parent who mentioned her son’s height. My son cares about his friends of all sexes and his friends of all heights 🙄 They have said they prefer the toilets. He goes to the school. Do your kids?
