What’s the hardest situation you’ve been in?
For Viktor Frankl, it was surviving in concentration camps for 3 years. While the suffering he endured was terrible, he learned some surprising lessons.
He wrote, "Suffering had become a task on which we did not want to turn our backs. We had realized its hidden opportunities for achievement."
Frankl's grueling struggles gave him meaning, and our lighter struggles can do the same. I made this chart, the Struggle-fish of Meaning, to show that as tension increases, so do feelings of meaning and anger.
The trick is to find a happy medium where you're challenging yourself enough to do meaningful things, but not so much that anger consumes you.
I'll explain more in my newsletter coming out tomorrow.

@MakadiaHarsh @_alexbrogan Those who embrace AI automation now will do well in the future

@RobRan6116 If you don’t keep your own promises, who will accept yours? Who will trust you if you don’t trust yourself?

@FitFounder I find myself more relaxed after working out. Less anxiety, more focus 💪

@JamesClear Get better little by little, day by day. Compounding returns are the most powerful force in the universe 📈

@RobertGreene This also explains why so many influencers/politicians/celebrities speak vaguely.
The best (worst?) politicians are experts at saying something ambiguous that will make everyone think they’re on their side 🐍

@egoofsigma Hmm, in terms of being widespread, the food pyramid. I’ll have a thread out on why the food pyramid was BS in a couple days, and about the more accurate Food Castle 🏰

@doug_oberbeck Nice way of turning a negative into a positive 🔄
I think a lot of people, subconsciously, or consciously, fall into a mental doom spiral when things start to break down like that. The trick is keeping a positive attitude.

@pattersonscott @tferriss @nntaleb Preparing for Black Swan events is underrated. It doesn’t matter at all most of the time, and seems like a waste… Until it really matters!
Just ask the car manufacturers who stockpiled extra chips, or the people in Maui who bought insurance.

A big one for CHAOS KINGS: @nntaleb, @tferriss & me chatting extreme risk, Black Swans, stoic philosophy, Universa and much more together in NYC. tim.blog/2023/09/07/nas…

@dickiebush Good advice. Also, if you get stuck, ask ChatGPT to come up with ideas to expand based on your topic. AI isn’t a great writer by itself, but it can come up with quick inspiration in a pinch!

@thedankoe 100%. Don’t be afraid to think differently and try new things
AI newsletters, and AI-based products in general now, have become a meme because the market is so oversaturated
What are the best unique niches that don’t involve AI?

@Caden_Rain Agreed quality beats quantity.
More saying that the only thing to focus on is the inputs (what you post) vs the outputs (who follows you because of what you post)
