I'm now taking 5 meds for BP while tapering off opioids. Been in the ER twice recently, last time it was 250/117. I'm far more concerned about the BP meds than any risk from opioids.

Sad case but was Maggie addressing her pains in constructive way? Taken opioids for years but they lost their efficacy. 9 pains and one pill won’t fix it. FYI was sick and in recovery for 25 years so am well aware of what the health system offers. Why didn’t she try marijuana?

Two girls in my neighbourhood split what they thought was a pharmaceutical oxycodone... that they got from the guy at the party. One girl survived. Traumatized for life.

They'd overdose on oxycodone, 2mg Xanax, and Fentanyl patches. It was happening pretty frequently, I always wondered how teenagers got Xanax as I had to jump thru hoops to get it once I started taking opioids before the crisis.
