@TomLondon6 Because Starmer himself is an odious devious man and he thinks he’s getting away with it. Mandelson has been dirty his whole career and everybody knows it.

Let’s not lose sight of this fact: EVERYONE KNEW Mandelson was not suitable. It is not as if he appeared suitable but some hitherto hidden secret was revealed in security screening. The question is: why was Starmer so determined to appoint this odious, devious man?

I’ve contacted the Foreign Secretary urging him to act to stop Israel from attacking the Gaza Freedom Flotilla ship. This humanitarian mission must be allowed safe passage to enter Gaza through Palestinian waters. Israel has no right to block or threaten it.

@SarahTaylo89428 It's a scandal, and how many more children and women have to suffer before this process is exposed. We pay lip service to domestic abuse and safeguarding of children. But don't worry, there's a new bill about home schooling, so it should all work out OK.

When people talk badly of Sara Sharif's mother, remember this. When a victim of domestic abuse raise domestic abuse in family court, they get called liars and are demonised. They are treated less than vermin, sigmatised, and disregarded. Their children handed to perpetrators.

@I_amMukhtar The big question for me is how was a known abuser of women allowed to ha e custody of a child who was a safeguarding concern before she was even born. It's time to stop side tracking about home schooling & examine how perpetrators of domestic abuse are allowed contact & custody

Sara Sharif's father, stepmother and her uncle have been sentenced. Urfan Sharif is to serve a minimum of 40 years. Beinash Batool must serve a minimum of 33 years. Her uncle, Faisal Malik, must serve 16 years.

@SarahTaylo89428 @ChildrensComm Thank you Sarah these issues have been driving me mad and feeling like I was a lone voice. The whole home schooling issue is a red herring compared to the issues you raise. The headlines should be about a known abuser being given custody of a child.

@ChildrensComm What needs to happen is common sense.... stop the family court giving children to perpetrator fathers. It's not difficult. It's really easy.

The Children’s Wellbeing and Schools Bill is a vital step in protecting vulnerable children. It lays a foundation for change with a unique ID and register of children in school – so no child is invisible to services, but we must go further and faster.

Unless this lesson is learned we will see this happen again and again Homeschooling wasn't the issue, it shouldn't have even got that far, she should have been safe from birth.

And the headless to this horrific tragedy should be about how children are used by coercive abusers to get at women. Poor Sara was a safeguarding concern before she was even born. But he was given custody, he didn't want that child he wanted to continue to punish her mum.
