A sad day for Germany 🇩🇪. 5.000 US 🇺🇸 troops will leave my country. They defended us for 7 decades and they never misused their power (unlike the Soviets). They acted disciplined and friendly. They taught us a lot. The U.S. is like a big brother for Germany. But the U.S. administration is right: Germany can stand on its own feed nowadays. The U.S. needs its resources to deter China 🇨🇳. And one day, when we Europeans are strong enough we will do so as well. Thank you American soldiers for your service for liberty and peace in Europe. 🇩🇪 🇺🇸🇪🇺

Spirit Airlines only needed $500 million to survive. We’ve already spent $25 billion on the Iran War. Which one directly improves American lives more? A low-cost carrier staying in the market or another war in the Middle East?

@BlueDotUSMC California has a 40% voter share of republicans and before the map got worse, only had 13% representation in the house. The new map in Texas that has everyone up in arms still gives democrats a 28% share of the representatives. Not good sure, but not nearly as bad as Californias

When MAGA talks about New England and blue states with zero Republican seats, refer them back to this post. I am sick and tired of hearing the bullshit about how we don’t have any representation. It’s fascinating how many more red states have zero Democratic seats than there are blue states. I don’t want to hear about California, New York, and Illinois because those have been big Democratic strongholds for years now, so enough about it.
Grok@grok

**There are 12 states with zero Democratic House reps in the 119th Congress: Alaska, Arkansas, Idaho, Iowa, Montana, Nebraska, North Dakota, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Utah, West Virginia, and Wyoming.** Hundreds of thousands of registered Democrats live in them (e.g., ~611k in OK, ~530k in IA, ~336k in AR, ~242k in UT, ~138k in SD, ~120k in ID, ~73k in AK, ~32k in WY). Not every state tracks party registration the same, and ND doesn't require it, but Dem voters exist and vote in every state.

California liquor store employee gets jumped by a mob of teens before pulling out a handgun, sending the wild mob scurrying. The incident happened outside of Golden Hours Liquor in Oakland, California. The employee got in a verbal spat with the thugs before he was jumped and assaulted. In an effort to save his life, the employee was able to make it inside the doorway of the store before he pulled out a gun which he pointed at the teens, sending them scurrying. Oakland police say no one was shot and nobody was arrested.

@jamesetta_w The most unfair maps in the country are literally democrat states. NY and California are worse than the new Texas map. California's is about to get even worse. Please explain why its ok for democrats to do but not republicans.

@DonAtkinsonNFL Now do playing time factored in. I believe that is where the most significant difference is going to be. Not rostered but actually playing in the game. Niners will keep a WR on the roster for 2-3 years after drafting them and only have them in for 1-2 plays a week.

In response to the rabid campaign Warren Sharp is currently running to prove John Lynch and the 49ers are draft-incompetent, I did a little quick research—not at all scientifically or mathematically vetted just yet, but numbers run on the actual number of drafted/UDFA players rostered for multiple seasons vs. the number of players acquired through trade or free agency. In other words: How many players on the 53 man roster for MULTIPLE seasons (the TRUE measure of contribution, because it takes into account valuable depth, not just 1-2 year starters) are there for each team? The time frame is nine years (from 2017-2025), the length of the Lynch/Shanahan era. At the top of the list: The Ravens, Bucs, and Rams—all in the 65-75 percentile. Excellent homegrown talent. At the bottom: Cards, Commanders, and Panthers—all in the 30-40 percentile. Always buyers, never developers. The 49ers come in mid pack, right at 16, with a roster comprised of FIFTY PERCENT drafted/UDFA talent. It’s not elite, but it’s clearly competent. Here’s their grouping: 13. DEN Broncos — 52.4% 14. SEA Seahawks—52.2% 15. L.A. Chargers — 50.8% 16. SF 49ers — 50.2% 17. LV Raiders — 48.5% 18. PHI Eagles — 47.8% Just two spots above are the World Champion Seahawks. Two spots BELOW are the Eagles (largely applauded as having the “best” GM in football, Howie Roseman). Interesting… Football analysis requires perspective, context, and proper data fed into the inquiry. What Sharp is spreading is mostly high-humidity horse manure intended to embrace a trending wave of faux-outrage over a condition that doesn’t actually exist. For clicks? Who knows. But this isn’t good analysis, because it isn’t based on objective data, it’s based on subjective ideas and opinions. Garbage in—garbage out. Trust the objective facts; don’t invest your belief in this TMZ-style coverage. #TruthOverFertilizer
Coach Yac 🗣@Coach_Yac

Warren Sharp on John Lynch’s drafting over the years: “I know some 49ers fans are going to say they win a lot of games, so he must be drafting well. No. They win in spite of Lynch. Their 3 biggest on field contributors to wins the last several years have been Trent Williams, Christian McCaffrey and Brock Purdy. He got Trent because Dan Snyder pissed him off. CMC was a trade and Purdy was Mr Irrelevant, but after the draft, Lynch gave the credit to the Purdy pick to Brian Griese and scout Steve Slowik. Those 3 players combined with the coaching of Kyle Shanahan are leading the 49ers to wins. In fact, I would turn this argument on its head and say the 49ers have been close to winning, but still haven’t won a Super Bowl because they have drafted so poorly.” My biggest takeaway from the video other than Sharp destroying Lynch is that Kyle Shanahan doesn’t get any of the blame for several poor drafts and decisions — the trade up to get Lance — since 2021 🎥: @SharpFootball

If Republicans aggressively gerrymander the South and eliminate up to 10 Democratic seats under a narrowed VRA, Democrats could respond in blue states. For example, this 52-0 California map could become legal, flipping four seats from 🔴 to 🔵.

@USAFSparky @RealSKeshel Texas's new map gives the democrats a 21% share and they have 42% of the vote. Virginia gives republicans 9% despite a 46% voter share of republicans. California has a 13% share to the republicans desipite a 40% voter share. This is about to be even worse. Can you explain?

First world problem: I’m boarding my @Delta flight. Family with kids boarded ahead of me. They’re sitting in the back. I’m 1A. They put 3 bags in the first class overhead. I say excuse me I’m in 1A can you leave me room for my bags and take yours to your seat please? Flight attendant yelled at me and made me put my bag in the middle of the plane. I know it’s petty but If you’re in first class that should be your space.

We teach that agriculture 'began' in the Fertile Crescent. But it also began independently in China, New Guinea, Mesoamerica, and the Andes - all at roughly the same time. Why did everyone suddenly start farming at once, after 290,000 years of not doing so?
