Just to be clear, you’re saying that Last year’s Blue State + Biden = low crime And this year’s Blue State + Trump = high crime And when the state that was blue last year and is still blue this year… the crime rate change is because the state is blue? @isohelsgarden I used to find 1 thing I wanted to add to my play, for 1 week (sometimes longer) I’d intentionally go for the option I was working on every chance that I could. It was forced, I’d lose in friendlies, but when tournaments came, it would naturally come to me at the correct times

can a high level/top level player in melee or ult explain how they use notes? or any tips 4 this: i think im really good at understanding theory and doing new shit immediately, but it doesn’t stick and next time I play I just forget how to do it. in general I feel I’m rlly good

The Smash community is so socially awkward that anyone with a small amount of ambition can become a commentator, TO, or coach even if they lack the skillset for it. People see it as a shortcut to social clout and access to certain people and it's cringeworthy.

I’m not sure who “we is” but I’m def not part of the “we.” And tbh, this is just part of the beautiful cycle in smash. The community learns something valuable, a new game comes out, new players join. New players discredit veteran players experience when it comes to healthy changes for the scene Scene repeats problems and new players become vets, new game comes out and cycle repeats. Currently this is about casters, but it applies everywhere, look at mk, bayo, and Steve if you need examples of the cycle.

@CasterLogic @LadeNotIRL we figured this out a long time ago: there is no correlation between playing and casting. some are naturally good at both, some have no business on a mic. its a diff skillset from being good at the game, the only shared thing needed is game knowledge, which can be learned

Ask Claude to document and describe the main flows in your app and output in a single page html + json data file. Incredibly useful for humans and the JSON file is very useful for explaining the flow to the LLM when working on new features/bugfixes.

I think we can tout it, best example is “Smashers smell.” The reality is, if you put a bunch if 16-25 year old males in a gym, room, etc… for 12 hours, the community doesn’t matter, it will smell to a degree. But the smash scenes is so vocal, that it sounds exclusive to us. But I think us being so loud, is 2nd to the lack of charges. Say what you want about why people don’t get charged, but I’ve seen authorities communities press charges, and the threat of a record and jail time does way more for prevention than telling someone they can’t go to gaming events anymore.

I don’t think it’s porn shaping it, I think women of today shape it. Generally men do things specifically to attract/keep the attraction of women. Silk pillows for a women’s hair, a bed frame because women don’t want to sleep on a mattress on the floor, a seasoning rack because women don’t want a guy to have a bare countertop. When it comes to sex and attraction, there’s generally a request or expectation from a majority of women, and then men adjust their actions accordingly to increase their odds with women. Of course there are bad actors when it comes to choking, but I personally went from originally thinking its was a weird request, to being surprised now if I bring the topic up and the girl says she doesn’t like it. Now I will say how men often go about social cues and determining what a woman they’re with likes and dislikes prior to something as choking during sex is an entirely different problem 😅
