Fucking APU shit the bed again. Stopped at a @sheetz tonight so at least I can get some quality chow. Looks like The Bee is headed back to a @freightliner shop. I can't deal with a CPAP that won't work. Onward through the fog brothers and sisters. #TruckerLife

Urinating in grass where the earth can do its thing & out of sight, not in public view or on private property in an emergency I don't have a problem with, but urine on asphalt & concrete goes into the pores & ruins it. That's vandalism IMO & should have a stiff fine. $1K!
Billy Randel@BillyRande83121

@TruckerDesiree And we as well support that, and let’s take it one step further…..truckers(or anyone) urinating in public a minimum mandatory fine of $1K

A total of 13 people have been charged in connection with a wedding shooting that wounded two 16-year-old girls. Wait until you hear the names of the suspects... Ohio police say 50–70 shell casings were recovered and nine adults were arrested in a joint operation with local, state, and federal authorities . Not only that - but they also seized at least five firearms, including a fully automatic handgun. According to #lawenforcement, multiple masked individuals were in a parking lot near a wedding reception as it ended... and they opened fire first in the air then at people and vehicles. Two girls, 16, were shot and one was hit by a car. - Abdi Mohamed – 20- Carrying Concealed Weapons & Aggravated Riot - Abukar Mohamed –19 – Carrying Concealed Weapons & Aggravated Riot - Ali Mohamed – 21 – Carrying Concealed Weapons & Aggravated Riot - Faisal Abdi – 19 – Carrying Concealed Weapons & Aggravated Riot - Abdirahman Mohamed – 22 – Carrying Concealed Weapons & Aggravated Riot - Abdullahi Abdi – 24 – Possession of a Dangerous Ordinance - Abdikadir Abdi – 26 - Possession of a Dangerous Ordinance - Ali Kulmiye – 18 – Aggravated Riot - Mohamed Abdikadir Mohamed – 18 – Carrying Concealed Weapons & Aggravated Riot What do you notice about their names? Imagine you're pregnant. Imagine you learn you have an incompetent cervix that requires surgery. You get the surgery. You also get doctor's orders for bed rest & you ask your boss if you can work from home. But your boss denies it, so you have to go back to the office. You work in the office for a few days, until a desperate call from your husband to the company finally allows you to work from home. And then this...

👇🏼 My opinion, the Eastern Europeans are heavily into counterfeit documents ( CDL , Permits, Ghost Drivers). @RepHankJohnson misses that we have a dangerous situation on our highways with unvetted immigrant drivers who are exploited because they were never taught the regulations
AC Specht@acharlesspecht

@Thewhitesmoke @TruckerDesiree I briefly worked for a Romanian that would do the same thing. He would text me telling me to certify my logs because they got me more hours. If I didn’t they would certify them. They also made up OD permits.

Interesting detail on Dalilah's Law (H.R. 5688, passed committee): It bans motor carriers from using "foreign dispatch services" but the definition is super narrow and specific. The law defines a prohibited "foreign dispatch service" as an entity that: 👉Has its main office outside the US, Canada, or Mexico 👉Acts as a direct licensed agent for carriers via a formal written agreement 👉Gets paid based on a set contract 👉Only does limited admin stuff: coordinating freight moves (without taking cargo responsibility or arranging transport) + communicating with brokers/shippers to set up shipments for the carrier All 4 must apply it's targeted at those specific overseas "dispatch agent" setups often tied to fraud/cargo theft. Customer service, sales reps, back-office support, tracking, claims handling, etc.? Not covered unless the whole operation fits this exact narrow box. Typical foreign CS or sales teams usually go beyond those limited functions, so they stay allowed. Carriers can't use these banned services after 1 year (if enacted), must certify no use on FMCSA renewals, and face $50K+ fines per violation if they knowingly do. intresting way to hit the shady ones without blanket-banning all overseas ops.

Dalilah’s Law cleared the House T&I Committee. Most coverage is focused on the CDL/immigration & English language pieces. But there’s much more. > Truck drivers must prove they can read/speak English, or they’re pulled off the road on the spot. > Only U.S. citizens and “legal residents” can get a commercial truck license. [I’m still skeptical on this part] > States that don’t comply lose federal highway funding. > A trucking violation in one state, or another country, follows you everywhere in the U.S. > Trucking companies are legally responsible if they put an unqualified driver behind the wheel. > Overseas dispatch centers controlling U.S. trucks are banned. $50K fine per violation. > CDL mills handing out truck licenses without real training have to re-earn their certification. > Companies that break the rules can lose their federal operating authority entirely. *News headline for rage bait.

@cjmarley Why? Rates are rising. If they are not, go find them. What is it anyway? List it on many sites, FB and more. Doubtful you will get that much, but you might financially walk on that if your company is structured properly.

If I could get someone to buy this truck for what I owe on it, I'd do it in a red hot second and walk away from trucking right this minute.

@TMSuccessful As long as the main focus of DC, enforcement, and the states is drivers and carriers only, what do you folks expect. There is absolutely no reason for what goes on with some of these brokerages. No reason at all. It has gone on for way too long, with nothing being done. @SecDuffy

No matter how much I vent about certain brokers, it never fails. At least once every few weeks, a unicorn broker comes along: someone who is an absolute PLEASURE to work with. Sadly, when I say "unicorn broker", I mean someone who is actually a decent human being. That's it. A decent human being with proper business etiquette. Sad how rare this is.

I woke up out of a dead sleep witb these thoughts. Hang the keys up bro! You had a good ride. There's no humanity left in trucking. It used to be about the guy that had to go through all the stress for what that load paid. Now, it's about the stress that same guy has to go through to make ends meet while getting paid pennies on the dollar. Its watching brokerage firms become multi billion dollar firms while you struggle to pay off a $1500 repair bill. It's watching truckstop after truckstop pop up price gouging the trucker from the fuel pumps to $10 a gallon windshield washer fluid while offering you a food choice of a roller dog, subway, or McDonald's. It's having some young cocky employee of a broker calling you at 2am to get your location waking you up from a dead sleep and then mocking you because you're crabby. It's being harassed by the DOT at scales because you hit one of that states nuclear potholes and it knocked a marker light out. Its sharing the roads with third world people who have no business driving a bicycle let alone a semi and they have zero value for human life. Its having to deal with people in the public who treat us as an inconvenience rather than a necessity and cut us off just to hit their exit because they feel their time matters more. It's having to use truckstop showers that still have pubes on the floor from the previous guest. It's having to deal with regulations that were made up by a pencil pushing punk bureaucrat who tells me that im not safe to work more than 14 hours a day because he's unable to. It's being treated like a child because you have allowed children into an adult profession and they ruin it for the adults and rather than punish the children who make mistakes, you punish the adults who know better. It's wanting to park for the night closer to your destination but you don't risk it because you know the parking will be non existent. It's being told you have lane restrictions in certain states because those states think your time don't matter. It's watching your health deteriorate over time because of the nature of your profession. It's having to miss weddings, funerals, birthdays, and every important life event because you already committed to a couple weeks worth of loads. It's having to make do in a bucket or garbage can at a shipper/receiver because they've held you up for hiurs and offer no restroom facilities. It's waiting 12 1/2 hours to get loaded than run the load through the night straight through to deliver the load on time only for the receiver make you wait an additional 8 1/2 hours to unload you and then be told "we'll give you $340 for your time." (I lost a load because of that) It's breaking down and having roadside price gouging you because they know you have no other choice. It's being held up at shippers/receivers because no English speaking truck drivers can't understand basic instructions or they park in everyone's way because they have no common courtesy. It's watching non English speaking truck drivers park at fuel pumps and go in and take a shower. It's dodging bags of human feces in parking lots because the 3rd world is too lazy to bring that bag to a garbage can. I could go on and on but ladies and gentlemen this is a pretty good crash course of what we deal with out here to bring you your conveniences. The trucking industry, much like this country is no more. Greed and corruption is destroying this country and the trucking industry from within. It's time to take our country back or lose it forever. ~written by The Disrespected Trucker ~
