🚛❌ Secretary Duffy on getting ILLEGAL TRUCKERS OFF AMERICA’S ROADWAYS: “The issues we’ve had with commercial driver’s licenses is a nationwide problem… there’s not a difference between a Democrat state and a Republican state… they were giving CDLs to people who were illegal... we’ve now modified the rules… these should be the best drivers on the road.”

Having a safe place to park and rest is one of our members’ top concerns.🅿️ Unfortunately, there’s only 1 parking spot for every 11 trucks. Thanks to @RepBost and @RepAngieCraig, that’s going to change. OOIDA helped secure $750 million in this year’s highway bill for parking.💪🇺🇸

@voiceofshippers, instead of spending hundreds of thousands of dollars on TV ads to push for unsafe weight limit increases, your members should consider spending some of that money on driver pay. Truckers are essential to the supply chain! Start paying them like it! 🚛💰

It was an honor kicking off the first ever Congressional Trucking Caucus with an inaugural reception! Generating $906 billion in revenue in 2024, the trucking industry employs about 8.4 million Americans through over 580,000 motor carriers. I was proud to co-found this caucus to create a forum for lawmakers to discuss challenges that face this industry, ensure safety on the road, and keep American families, industries, and supply chains moving forward. Thanks to @TRUCKINGdotORG and @OOIDA for joining. I’m looking forward to working with industry leaders like them and my colleagues in Congress to make American roads safe again!
