We have created the most accurate and up to date valuation dataset in the mobile app M&A market. In mid April, we are publishing our Mobile App Valuation Index, built from 24 months of tracked marketplace data across Flippa, Acquire, Empire Flippers, and App Peak. This data updates in real time, giving us a constant pulse on the market and allowing us to help app owners understand current valuation trends with much greater clarity. For example, if you own a Health & Fitness iOS app with AI functionality generating $250k in annual EBIT, we can show you: ▸ How many similar apps were listed over the past 12 months ▸ The EBIT multiples those apps were marketed at ▸ Your app benchmarked only against those with AI functionality ▸ The trend in valuations for these apps over 8 quarters Our goal is simple: bring more transparency to the market and highlight the trends that are starting to emerge. One number stood out immediately from Q1 2026: ▸ 117 new app listings across the major marketplaces. That is a 98% quarter over quarter increase, a meaningful acceleration in market activity. Even more interesting is that only 25% of those listings mention AI functionality in their description. Given how much attention AI apps are receiving, I would have expected that number to be much higher. From my subjective experience, I believe the number of AI functionality app listings is only at 25%, because many founders are choosing to exit non AI apps in order to free up time, capital, and focus so they can build AI apps. Someone built a fitness app using the same psychological mechanics as gambling This might work better than every normal fitness app 😭😭 You bet money on whether you’ll hit 10,000 steps today If you fail, you lose your money If you succeed, you split the money from everyone who didn’t So disciplined people literally profit off lazy people Most fitness apps try motivating you with streaks and notifications This one motivates you with financial fear Imagine realizing at 11:52pm you still need 1,700 more steps or you lose $30 Entire friend groups would be outside walking laps around their neighborhood before midnight trying not to lose their steppa challenge It sounds stupid but this would probably motivate people better than any other fitness product Would you use this yourself?

84% of the companies I ever started failed to make any meaningful revenue Most people only see the business that finally works. They don’t see the list of failed ideas before it. Here’s every business I ever tried. What I wish I understood earlier is this: Failure usually isn’t a signal to stop completely It’s a signal to pivot or to move on to your next thing For years, every failed side hustle felt like a huge waste of time. I had this constant thought that I invested hundreds of hours for a negative return. Why keep trying? After each failure, I’d go quiet and retreat into my shell I’d wait months or even years until the entrepreneurial urge became too strong to ignore again. Looking back, I realise the biggest mistake wasn’t the businesses failing. It was treating failure as a dead end instead of feedback. Every failed attempt was teaching me something: ➤ Iterate with customer feedback if the first product/service doesn't work ➤ Experiment with different lead gen channels ➤ Business models with neglibigble costs for producing an additional unit scale faster ➤ Copy a product/service that is already proven If you’ve just had your first business fail, don’t get disheartened. If you’re anything like me, you may need 5 more rolls of the dice before you find the thing that clicks. Failure is data and eventually one thing will work.
