💥NEW: Alan Dershowitz *NUKES* notion that Dem Party is “big tent”💥 “They don’t have a wide tent. They wouldn’t let ME in! … They’re a totally intolerant party!” “I was the most popular teacher at Harvard … Harvard will NOT allow me to speak!” “They have a tiny, tiny, tiny tent! That’s why they’re so upset with Fetterman. They don’t want him within the party. They’d rather see him LEAVE the party.” “Don’t say you have a big tent when you are the most intolerant group in modern American history!”

@gpmrntz @joecarlsonshow You mean a business man or anyone for that matter shouldn't use the existing laws to minimize their tax burden? You can pay all the taxes you like the rest of us will keep what we can. Just like Griffin.

@joecarlsonshow More than one thing can be true at once. As such - Yes, Griffin did a good thing (once?) as you cite; and yet Many billionaires use loopholes to minimize, if not eliminate, their tax bill. An easy example of this - using stock to secure millions, tax free.

I've liked Ken Griffin ever since he paid $44 million to prevent a dinosaur from leaving the US. Wealthy foreigners were trying to buy the dino and ship it to their country. Griffin outbid them and later said: “Apex was born in America and is going to stay in America”. Apex is now in an Arkansas museum. This is what wealthy Americans should be doing, investing, growing wealth, creating jobs, and protecting our assets. The fact that he is now publicly standing up against Zohran's class warfare tactics is completely necessary. Zohran poked the wrong bear. The politicians say you shouldn't like him, but I don't care, I like him.

@TomM251385 @nwbvt @tomselliott @NickKristof Thats exactly what it means instead of just pushing the kids to the next grade which California does. This is how you end up with a HS grad who can't add. Mississippi holds them back and prepares them for the next grade.

@nwbvt @tomselliott @NickKristof No it isn't apples to apples since the goal is educating students. If. Lot of students take an extra year or two to achieve the same target proficiency it does not mean you are doing a good job educating. The claim was implying Mississippi is doing better at educating.

NYT's @NickKristof to fellow progressives: "A black kid in Mississippi is 2.5 times as likely to be proficient in math & reading by 4th grade as a black kid in Calif. Do we need to look a little bit less at what the Trump Admin is doing ... & look a little more in the mirror?"

@robertgraham @miir0 Welcomed? We were told for years by democrats Trump was a Russian asset directly working with Russia. Funny how they never say that anymore? Its almost like they never believed it in the first place.

@miir0 I don't believe Russia's help was material in changing the outcome of the election. But any candidate who welcomes such efforts, even if they aren't very effective, is still a traitor.

False. Hillary gave a concession speech in 2016 declaring Trump's victory legitimate, resulting in a peaceful transfer of power. A couple years later when the Mueller report came out documenting how Trump welcomed Russia's help in the election, she said this made his Presidency illegitimate. She did cite the evidence -- the Mueller report and intelligence findings documenting Russia's help and how Trump welcomed that help (albeit, without "collusion"). In contrast, Trump continues to spread conspiracy theories about the 2020 that are thoroughly debunked, which have no evidence. Rogan himself can't point to any evidence (that hasn't been thoroughly debunked).
matrixbot@thematrixb0t

Joe Rogan: "They'll pretend that Hillary Clinton didn't do multiple speeches where she said that the election was stolen, Russia stole the election, with no evidence. But when [Trump] questions the election, it's a threat to democracy."

The sooner we recognize this hard truth—that there’s no military solution to the conflict with Iran—the better off the United States will be. Sheer military force cannot reopen the Strait of Hormuz without escalating the war and sucking us into another endless, bloody quagmire that delivers zero benefit to our people. We can’t get rid of the emboldened government in Tehran, regardless of how many leaders we kill. If we try we will end up with a government or failed state, worse than what we have now. The inevitable reality is this: we will have to cut a deal with Iran. We can be pragmatic and do it now on our own terms, or we can keep listening to the same neocons and the Israeli government who got us into this mess, only to cut the same deal after we’ve lost even more. Recognizing that we have hit the point of diminishing returns and pulling out now is not weakness. It is strength—and it’s the right thing to do for the American people.

@ShawnRyanShow @cenkuygur @TheYoungTurks The law is clear on cops and people pointing a vehicle at them. Cops need a reasonable suspicion. In this situation the women was stalking them for hours he could easily meet that bar. Not to mention one of his brothers getting run over in Chicago the week before.

@ShawnRyanShow @cenkuygur @TheYoungTurks Holy shit the dude brought a gun to a protest and put himself right in the middle of it. We've seen and heard the videos. The officer here's "gun" not knowing the guy was disarmed he shoots him. Tragic but he brought a gun knowing he was going to interact with LE.

@innerpeece @mkhammer @jonfavs Some of us remember when Elon was called a Nazi for the way he waved to a crowd. Prominent democrats went on TV and said he was absolutely a Nazi if he didn't explain himself and apologize for a wave. Nazi tattoo? Dems making all kinds of excuses like this one. Good times.

@mkhammer @jonfavs I’m a military vetand a student of World War II and I didn’t recognize the skull as a Nazi symbol. It’s not a swatika or SS or lightning bolt. It doesn’t have codes like “88” or anything. Seems to me a plausible theory that he didn’t know it had any connotation with Nazism.

I think if one is trying to figure out if a candidate is sympathetic to Nazis, one of the most important tests is whether the candidate knowingly got a death’s head tattoo signifying an elite, brutal group of SS officers and kept it until the second he wanted to run for Senate and someone noticed. It’s an insult to everyone’s intelligence to suggest otherwise. Sorry, his Medicare thoughts from last week are not permanent body art or absolution.
Jon Favreau@jonfavs

As the community note makes clear, I didn't delete it because I stand by it. But if MAGA world has decided their best play is to insult Mainers' intelligence by trying to fool them into thinking Platner's old tattoo makes him a Nazi sympathizer, best of luck in November!

@notaroIemodeI @mkhammer First who one group or the other supports is not the candidates fault. Also how many actual klan members do you think exist? Im guessing put them all together they couldn't fill a high school gym.

@mkhammer You can’t play the “that guy is a nazi sympathizer” game as a Republican. It’s incredibly hypocritical given your side literally has the support of the KKK and literal neo Nazi organizations given the obvious pro-racism stances of the GOP

I don’t know, you strike me as someone smart enough to know that a good test as to whether someone is sympathetic to Nazis is if they’ve ever said a single word in their entire life that could be construed as sympathetic to Nazis. But I guess the story you’d have us believe is this: a group of American marines, who risked their lives for this country, decided to get skull and crossbones tattoos together in their 20s that they all knew were Nazi symbols. Then they all kept their actual Nazi sympathies hidden for the next decade, a time when Platner frequently took his shirt off in front of his Jewish family, who I suppose either didn’t care about his Nazi sympathies or didn’t recognize the symbol you claim is extremely obvious. And then Platner, who was clearly not shy about expressing all kinds of views on Reddit, especially all the offensive shit he now regrets, somehow managed to keep his Nazi sympathies hidden from the world, as did his Nazi-sympathizing Marine friends who got the same tattoo. Yes, this makes sense. You cracked it for sure. Bravo. Congrats on being smarter than all those rubes in Maine who’ve fallen for the secret Nazi’s cover story.
