Somebody, pinch me.
I did it.
I signed something ✨vague✨ !
I can’t share the details quite yet, but what I can say, is I am beyond thrilled! Hard work and perseverance DOES pay off, friends!

I have grown to dislike the word hobby. My writing has been referred to as a hobby because it doesn't pull in hundreds of dollars.
I am writing books because it is my purpose. I want it to be a career. I am willing to spend months on a single manuscript. TV has been replaced by books.
Writing isn't a hobby. It's my life.
So I’m sitting in my car at my son’s baseball practice yesterday - windows down, enjoying the sun, computer in my lap while I edit.
I realize when this lady walks by eyeing me, that I’ve been acting out dialogue for several characters way too loud as I edit.
Pretty sure the entire team thinks I’m bananas. 🤣
Al “writers” are an insult:
I was writing for a decade before my writing paid one bill.
To write I stole time away from other jobs, time from my family, bleary eyed and full of love for the work.
The stories *are* the effort. Without the squeeze your juice isn’t even juice.
@tyler_stasi I totally agree! Also, when I delete entire sections during edits, I place them on another file. You never know when something will become useful again!
Romance novels teach us that the love interest is obsessed with the MC's eye color. But after 11 years, my husband still has no idea what color my eyes are.
@authorrcclark Congrats on 40K! What's your endstate word count target? Currently I'm writing my second manuscript and I would like to think that I'm halfway through 😅. Around 45K at the moment.
Final querying stats for KILL ME MAYBE 🔪💞
The past month has been absolutely wild and I can't wait to share some more news soon!! 🤞 Thanks for bearing with me! 🫶
*This is my 3rd time in the trenches in the last 3 years and I have almost 200 rejections for my first 2 projects!*
