@AlanJLSmith @Mamasee7654 @jimmycarr I’ve had a lot of comments who didn’t like what he said, which is part of the problem. It’s also no surprise young boys have been driven to these clowns; we’ve been bashing boys for years. We seem unable to lift up women without putting down men and boys.

Have you watched The Manosphere with Louis Theroux on Netflix? As the Dad of a 17 year old son, I think @jimmycarr is spot on. What do you think?

@Top100Rick A lot was made of his fast pace of play as if this was the blueprint to play well. The problem is when mistakes happen, they happen in a much bigger way. He’ll get it over the line eventually , but this will not be his only collapse.

Tiger showed emotion. Scottie does too. Nothing wrong with that. Maybe hiding your emotions isn’t the best way to deal with intense moments?

@SangitaMyska @horton_official It’s a sad state of affairs so we need a sign on a seat to ask people to be courteous. We need to get to a place where people feel okay asking for seat and people need to feel okay at giving up a seat. Instead of trying to work out if someone would appreciate your seat.

I grew up in London and this is (by and large) a relatively recent phenomenon (last 6-7 yrs approx). I always give up my seat and have gone so far as politely asking others to give up their designated seats for pregnant women, the elderly, disabled. I’m increasingly met with a hostile reaction when I do so.

I notice that people in London just don’t offer pregnant women seats on the train. I noticed a woman with a baby on board badge today and said “does anyone want to offer this pregnant woman a seat?” Not a single person did. Until I said ABSOLUTELY ASTONISHING & a young woman did

I came across this clip of Carlos Alcaraz doing this simple but effective drill to help with his ball toss when serving It immediately made me think about how these amazing players in ANY sport don't skip the basics I see it everyday with golf, the recreational golfer isn't willing to do the smallest, most basic things in order to help themselves acheive their goals They say they want one thing but their actions don't show they will achieve it Golfers always want to hit driver as hard as they can, they skip the importance of setting up to the ball correctly, they don't like changing their terrible grip because it "feels weird" Yet the best tennis player on the planet is working on his ball toss in order to ensure he can serve the ball to the best of his abilities It's these 1% efforts that can help you achieve exactly what you want. Don't skip them & when a coach asks you to do them, there's a reason we want you to listen and do them. They are important

@ryanmouquegolf 💯 golf is one of the sports where people continually put the cart before the horse. Or they have a lesson and complain that they’re doing basic stuff.

@_consistentgolf Being better than the average does not mean that you are necessarily very good! I would say if you are <5 under tournament conditions you’re a good golfer.

At what handicap would you consider someone to be a good golfer? This is a question that pops up a lot but I always find it interesting to hear what other people think.

@Fit_For_Golf Well said. There’s a lot of utter nonsense out there and speed training is right up there (quick fix as opposed to speed development).

Athletes in sports depending on force production in throwing & hitting all focus on very similar exercises. For some reason, when fitness became a thing in golf, the trend became “golf fitness exercises”. These often don’t transfer well to swing mechanics, while also not doing anything for physical capabilities. What do the best power athletes do? Here’s an example 🙂

@StingrGolf He has a very high Golf IQ. Hitting 1500 balls a month is the information people need to focus on.

@LouStagner Bryson, Rahm, and Cam definitely. I’d even like Bubba and Phil back, although they’re long shots. In all honesty I’d just prefer the two leagues work together to make it inclusive so we can watch great golf most weekends with stacked fields.

Do you want Bryson and/or Rahm back on the PGA Tour? Cam Smith? What about Hatton?

Tiger Woods giving a 3 minute lesson on hitting 50 yard pitches. With Fred Couples. “Close the face when I hit a fade” “Open the face when I hit a draw” He then demonstrates 5 different ball flights for the pitch. I’ve watched it 3 times. It probably won’t help me, but man what a genius with the golf ball. Some of the best hands to play the game. (Crazy to think he battled the chipping yips.)
