On what basis, other than blackmail, did tips rise from 10% to 20%? The service is not 100% better.
This happened as the minimum wage rose dramatically and inflation skyrocketed. The cost of a restaurant meal has risen 100% in CA.
So I've given up dining out.
That's revenue restaurants aren't receiving.
Restaurants are closing.
People are losing jobs.
