A photo of the Marshman Orchestra of Northampton taken c1903. My Great Grandfather is seated 2nd from left in the middle row. He was born in 1883 and lived until 1981. My Grandfather (Louis Haddon) was Chairman of the Northampton Eisteddfod Festival for many years @NMPATrust

Brilliant to see how both Furbs and Dingers hop as they catch to check the defenders. Coupled then with the pump pass delay and Dingers can put through a strong runner. He is the best in the league at this aspect of centre play. Litch and Archie did brilliant to finish, but the game was won with that one simple but deadly effective, pass.

Showstopping. Dingwall’s delay, Litchfield’s line, McParland’s magic – as 78th-minute winners go, this one was pretty special 🔥

A man has been jailed for 16 weeks after he was stopped for not wearing a seatbelt and found to be driving whilst disqualified. Checks found that he also did not have insurance. He has been further disqualified for 36 months.

**COURT RESULT** Uzar PATEL (39) from Abbey Road in Stratford was driving a grey Mercedes GLB on the M25 near Chertsey on July '24 when he was caught using his handheld mobile phone while driving. When stopped PATEL attempted to lie about his identity and gave his brother's details. Sgt Pascoe from the Vanguard Road Safety Team wasn't fooled, and a few moments later, his ID was checked via roadside fingerprints, which confirmed he had lied. He was a disqualified driver. The car was seized, and PATEL was arrested and later charged with the following: 🛑Using a handheld mobile phone whilst driving 🛑Driving without insurance 🛑Obstructing police 🛑Driving while disqualified. PATEL has been further disqualified for an additional six months and has to complete 150 hours of community work. He must also pay £414 in fines and surcharges. #Fatal5 #VanguardRST #RoadSafety #OpTramline

@CliveDBeasley @RoyalCentral Bullshit. Those scroungers steal over a hundred million a year from their "serfs", so I'm inclined to think that the funding for that is something else they stole from regular folk.

@IndieChris71 @TJAllon1 @stephenpollard How many people KSI are we talking about here? 1,633 dead in 2024 out of 40,000,000 drivers 70,000,000 population. You're going to tie down all those drivers to save how many lives?

I’ve just done a Speed Awareness Course after being caught doing 34mph in a 30mph zone. To be honest I was pissed off - my friends often mock how slowly I drive and how angry I get when I see drivers speeding. I use my speed limiter almost all the time to keep within the limit. I assumed it would be a useless waste of three hours from which I would learn nothing - basically a scam so people could make money from me and the rest of those on the course. I was completely wrong. The presenter was calm, polite, efficient and sensible and her manner made it instantly clear this would not be a waste of time. More importantly, the content itself was interesting, important and relevant even to someone who - clearly wrongly in my case - thinks they are a safe driver. I was really impressed. The whole thing was well put together and engaging.

@stephenpollard Very unlucky to get done at 34mph. In many areas there's a speed limit + 10% tolerance + 1 or 2 mph. I could understand it if you were caught doing 35 or 36 mph but not 34mph.

@BrexitEmergency @scottiebateman @Scunnert2 @mdf200 The leased helicopters are funded by the Sovereign Grant. The Crown Estate profits (£1.1 billion) is paid to the Exchequer. The Exchequer then returns £132 million to the Monarch to cover expenses for official royal duties, staff costs, travel costs & property maintenance.

@scottiebateman @Scunnert2 @mdf200 This doesn't change who has fundamentally funded it. It doesn't change the grotesque and hypocritical environmental implications. And the overall level of vulgarity, gluttony, entitlement and affront.

For thousands of years this permanent pasture has been ridge and furrow to aid drainage and has not been built on because it always floods. Work has now just started here on a huge new Didcot housing development and immediately it floods. Why as a country are we getting thicker?

@OLA63265149 @SharpeShirley The Sovereign Grant is funded from the Crown Estate profits that are surrendered to the Treasury. So actually, the taxpayer's do not pay anything.

@yarnydeb2 @coletteisp @guidedogs The restriction covers the full width of the highway, including footpaths and verges, meaning you cannot park on the pavement to avoid the lines on the road.

This is the pathway from Gartnavel hospital towards Hyndland train station My @guidedogs had to take me onto the road at the very dangerous junction , as I have no way of seeing what’s coming round the cot we go our right and cats certainly can’t see me until it might be too late @SightScotland

Tonight PD Bryn attended a serious collision where two people ran away from the scene leaving their injured friend behind. Despite the wet weather, Bryn tracked from the car, through a housing estate & located both of them half a mile away trying to get themselves a lift home.
