@ClownWorld Hi! Local here. That is Rhodes skatepark. You can tell by the RH in the beginning of the video. The homeless would hang out here all day harassing skaters and youth, then sleep here. The irony is that there are at least three homeless shelters within 1 mile of this place.

@LandonTengwall Sleds, with me and the TE coach on it (+-800lbs), is a pure toughness , grit, and grind exercise. There are a couple of drills we do on it as well for developing explosive movement that can be seen on the sled that you can't really gauge going against a scout kid with a bag. Imo

Chutes and Boards are completely outdated. I think theres some use for sleds. If you are trying to isolate a specific movement you want your OL to understand, that’s fine. But majority of the time sleds should be substituted for a player w/ a bag. DL’s move more now than ever, we can’t just go against a static sled. Make your OL react and find those solutions in real time

Make em spin it 360 with proper tech. Like chutes , dont use them too much. Boards are good especially to get them going with proper direction with first two steps.

There are 2 types of OL Coaches these days: Those that still use Chutes, Boards, and Sleds, and those that do not. Which side are you on?

@CoachFWilliams Weightroom is number 1 for the players. Admin that is supportive and hands off. Coaches willing to be there and can commit to the process.

Football coaches - you’re taking over an average HS program. What’s are three things you need to happen to be successful? (Can’t say recruit/get better players)

@CoachShiffman I will find the one that can get the ball to qb, and keep the nose or dts from bubbling the middle. Then I will build my line to what the scheme dictates.

In HS football, if your “best” Offensive Lineman is playing center, he isn't your best offensive lineman.

Give this young man a look! A+ on character, coachability grades, and work ethic! Awesome motor and will be a great addition to any program!

The opportunity to play at in level after high school is a blessing. Don't sleep on it because it's NOT D1. JUCO = Blessing NAIA = Blessing D2 = Blessing D3 = Blessing

15 years into coaching, I still slip into trying to be creative over being clear. And it always bites us on Fridays. Strip it down. Master the essentials. Consistency beats clever every time.

Watching some 5a/6a playoff games…. Some rule enforcement differences I’ve noticed so far. 1. Knee Pads covering knees…. Optional 2. Eye black…. Not enforced Heavily enforced in small school football…. Ha

@coachgober Made such a stink at rules meeting about all of those! "They will not be allowed!" Well empty threats mostly. Like pulling teeth of the refs to get them yo enforce the rules. Consistency is all we ask. And those rules are not judgment calls. Sad.

@CoachAnson3 We could use some jucos in Idaho as well.

If we’re serious about opportunities for kids, Oregon has colleges ready to go: Clackamas, Lane, Mt. Hood, Chemeketa, Linn-Benton, Umpqua. These communities would thrive with JuCo football. The PNW is overdue.
