this advice from @MattHennessey in @WSJFreeEx mirrors the advice I receive from my older patients. I routinely ask my older patients for life advice and repeatedly they tell me “have as many children as you can”

I just had DeepSeek V4 find and fix 8 memory leaks that were causing crashes in code written by Claude Opus 4.7. DeepSeek found them all and fixed them in minutes, at a total cost of maybe three pennies. DeepSeek is amazingly good at coding and bug fixing. And it costs almost nothing to use, even the Pro version. Best harness? OpenCode.

honestly, opus 4.7 is unusable - explain things so complicated, it makes u doubt if ur a developer or not - going circles and yet still cant fix the issues - burns 30% more tokens than opus 4.6 luckily, i can switch to gpt5.5 or opus4.6 in the same session using @adalengineer to continue this is wild how such a model can become default in claude code and how big the gap of the sota benchmarks and the real production is reddit.com/r/ClaudeCode/c…
