Thank you to the 7M active users who are now using Codex and ChatGPT Work. We have added a banked reset to everyone's account to celebrate the milestone. You can apply the reset in the desktop app or on web and it will replenish the weekly usage for you. Have fun out there.

Every time @OpenAI's Codex has a so-called "usage reset," a lot of people, including me, don't actually get it. Is this intentional, or is it meant as a marketing strategy to encourage more people to sign up? I don't really understand.

200ms of network latency... and the feet still stay planted! 👀 Early test integrating Box3D by @erin_catto into Unreal Engine as a plugin. Still a work in progress, but the stability of the foot placement under latency is already looking really promising! Next step: more features, improved networking, and more physics experiments!🚀 #UnrealEngine #GameDev #Physics #Networking #IndieDev #Box3D

@YoungGroypClips I like it when he gets into his thoughts on a subject. He does this little gulping thing. Like he’s savouring thé thought as it’s leaving his mouth. The hands go, little smile threatens to break at the corners of the mouth. And I sound gay.

@levelsio @gary_miklos Why the hell do people think amount of git commits means anything at all? Totally meaningless metric.

@gary_miklos 2020-2025: I work in production so every edit I do, then I press CMD+ENTER and it deploys to production, then I test 2026: I work solely with Claude Code on the server in production so I don't even need to push to deploy anymore! But I still ask Claude to commit/push regularly

I was pretty satisfied with Fable doing 100+ commits a day for me since I was doing maybe 10–20ish before. Then checked @levelsio’s stats and 1,000+ commits in 2024?? and 500+ in 2022, pre-AI? How???

Steve Jobs' team told him to his face that his ship date was reality distortion. He agreed with their evidence and kept the date anyway. The tape explains a decision rule most founders never learn. December 1985. NeXT is 90 days old, funded with Jobs' own money after he left Apple. At the first company retreat, the team debates slipping the launch from spring 1987 to spring 1988. The pushback is brutal and specific. One team member has receipts: "We've got a person here that said he could do a word processor in six months that's taking three years." Another names the danger: "Reality distortion is reality distortion. It has its motivational value." Build the plan on a fake date, and every design decision made from it gets torn up later. Jobs does not argue the evidence. "Well, George, I can't change the world." He argues something else entirely: "I think we have to drive a stake in the ground somewhere. And I think if we miss this window, then a whole series of events come into play." "We can't sell enough units in 87 to pay for our operating costs." Colleges buy computers in the summer. The campus surveys had already put the ceiling at $3,000. Miss spring 1987, and NeXT sells nothing for a year while burning his money. "We have 18 months. So I don't think we have a company if we don't do this. No matter what I say or anybody else says, that is my deepest belief. If we don't do this, we will not be able to attract great people. We will not be able to retain some of the ones we have." My note: the team argued estimates. Jobs argued conditions. An estimate says when the work might be done, and it invites negotiation. A condition says when the company is dead, and it does not negotiate. That is why the stake held. He anchored the date to the market's calendar and his own runway, not to optimism. The engineers could refute the schedule. Nobody in the room could refute the window. The uncomfortable version for founders: if your deadline comes from your team's estimates, it will move. If it comes from the physics of your market, it was never really a deadline. It is a survival condition wearing one. Steve Jobs at the first NeXT retreat, December 1985. Footage released by the Steve Jobs Archive in May 2026. Founders: if you want your X to do this for your business, check the first reply.

Yes, I am an idiot. It's not a company's fault I'm stressed. It's just the way I am. I'm either 0% or 110%, no in between. But this is also how I built a SaaS to $30k/mo and graduated Uni with top grades. I'm neurotic and it works. But being neurotic also has downsides, like this. I'm going for a baseline health checkup in Bangkok next week anyway, so will be interesting to share. Stay balanced guys, much love ❤️

I'm done with them fucking with us. Ended up in hospital today from stress. Stayed up all night pushing my limits too hard, thinking it would be removed. Health comes first. Do better @AnthropicAI

"Most of you will focus on missed opportunities rather than solving problems. And what you fail to realize, myself included, is that the problems are the opportunities that are already in front of you" "The newbie business owners promise more. They make bigger promises. They show more proof. What we want to do is eliminate the downside. If you consistently eliminate the downside, this also makes a more defensible business. It makes a more valuable business"

introducing prose - a calmer way to speak to codex i've struggled to get comfortable with chatgpt for coding because the way it speaks is jittery, unstructured, forcing you to "search" for an answer in its weird mumblings. claude is much better at this, but can definitely be far too verbose with its blocky 'chat-walls' i've distilled the best parts of claude's writing style, and some extra additions into a 22-line markdown file, to make our agents speak more clearly.

Anthropic has an issue: I won’t go back to opus after using fable for a solid week They’ve shown me what a true AI feels like. I’m sold. If it gets removed from my plan I may switch back to OpenAI if GPT 5.6 sol is *that* good And surely I’m not the only one thinking the same

@DanielMiessler Agreed. Even before reading this tweet I've been telling Claude I'm an idiot and to mostly use my voice memos to capture my intent and then think through what I haven't thought of myself yet and just don't over index on the way I'm telling it to do anything.
