@helenvecht @omgsidewalks We do the photo books too- I do a “family yearbook” at the end of the year that’s a gift for all the grandparents and to my husband and sons, and we do separate ones for big trips

@omgsidewalks Family members get ‘Photo Books’ printed for memorable occasions. These books seem more durable than albums. Mum has a digital photo frame, constantly displaying a slide show of family snaps.

It’s really sad that the tradition of having physical photo albums has been lost, because now everything is digital. It was so beautiful to sit down, open an album, look at each photo, and relive so many memories.

WHERE ARE YOU GUYS FINDING REMOTE JOBS???

@deborah_oa Most are jobs that were fully in-person pre-Covid, went remote and the people in those jobs just kept being fully remote. Jobs within those companies are now filled internally pretty quickly. The “fully remote” dream job is becoming a myth slowly but surely.

@ryanbleess1 @LionBlogosphere This is why my son went out of state- our in-state schools are crazy competitive and a large state university elsewhere gave my son a scholarship which was almost less than regular in-state tuition 👍🏻

@LionBlogosphere In state isn’t automatically the cheapest option. Schools dangle merit aid to attract out of state NMSF and there are others that wind up being free or nearly free if you have typical income/assets as long as the kid’s able to get through admissions.

Can someone explain to me why parents send their kids to out-of-state state schools when they live in states with perfectly fine state schools where they'd qualify for in-state tutition? Seems like HUGE waste of money.

@TomCereal @indexnforgetit @themoviedadsc THIS. It means exhausted for days. Then you get to drive home and do it all over again. And sometimes one of your kids wakes up at 1:00 am…. AND STAYS AWAKE FOR THE REST OF THE DAY 😳

Legitimately now considering driving 14.5 hours to Ft. Lauderdale this coming weekend vs. flying. Drive is brutal, but my worst nightmare is getting caught in this TSA mess flying with 3 young kids Question to those who've been flying. Is it really that bad right now?

If not that then at the least feeling horribly overtired for days after. Then you get to drive allll the way back home and do it again 🤦‍♀️

Shoutout to the weird grocery store you go to at the beach. Strange brands. Lotto scratchers. Barefoot kids screaming. Entire aisle of pool floats and straw hats. Leathery octogenarians wearing the absolute minimum amount of fabric that can still be considered a “shirt.” America.

@feyiszn PRINT PHOTOS. Memories for future generations are now locked “in the cloud”. Once you’re gone those are all gone forever. Nobody is logging into your iCloud account someday to look at 300 photos of your brunch. Print photos, make albums, gift photos to friends and family ❤️

I actually think it's a shame that we don't print photos anymore. It’s a lost art. Photo albums are so nice to look at.

@TRHLofficial It’s also being handed out like candy to women ages 40+ to “help” their peri-menopause symptoms because doctors don’t have a clue what to do about it otherwise, despite women going through menopause since the beginning of time 🤦‍♀️

When I was a teenager, every girl I knew was on birth control. Cramps? Birth control. Heavy cycles? Birth control. I was not. Now these girls are women who suffer chronic miscarriages, endometriosis, & PCOS. Birth control, like Ritalin, should not be handed out like candy to kids

@EricRogersHere Seeing this in the theatre is a core memory for me. We went opening night when I was in college and people in the audience SCREAMING during this scene was some of the most fun I’ve ever had in my life.

Don't have to imagine. Saw this bad boy several times in the theater summer of '93 and I will tell you this -- the first time the T. Rex roared was the most insane sound I've ever heard/felt/experienced in my life. You felt it in your bones. This scene changed film forever.

@MrChickSports My dad got tickets for him and I many times- I was a teen and it was such great memories! Thanks for letting me relive that. Loved how they chatted up the audience before the show started

I get that people fail to keep appointments. But doctors, dentists, pharmacists: stop with the barrage of communications. Don't email me, and call me, and robo-call me, AND demand I respond to a text, all for the same appointment. This is excessive.
