A small piece of life advice for those who need it… Never confuse forgiveness with granting somebody unrestricted access to your life again. Forgiveness is about freeing yourself from anger, not volunteering for a second round of disappointment simply because somebody muttered the word “sorry” with the emotional depth of a parking fine appeal. You are allowed to forgive people and still keep your distance. You are allowed to wish them well whilst also preferring they do so somewhere far beyond your immediate atmosphere. You are allowed to remember exactly what somebody revealed about themselves without carrying bitterness about it. That is not cruelty, it is wisdom acquired the expensive way. Far too many people believe forgiveness should automatically restore their previous position in your life. It does not. Trust is earned. Access is earned. Proximity is earned. And if somebody is offended that you forgave them but did not hand them the keys back to the kingdom, what they wanted was not reconciliation. They wanted convenience without accountability. Protect your peace accordingly. The drawbridge exists for a reason.

The Full Federal Court has handed down its judgement in Giggle v Tickle. In a shock to women across the country - Sall Grover not only lost her appeal, the Court set aside the original finding of indirect discrimination and replaced it with direct discrimination, upholding Tickle's cross-appeal. The damages were doubled from $10,000 to $20,000. It’s important to note the Court expressly said it was only applying the Sex Discrimination Act as it is written- it is "not empowered to give effect to its own view" about whether that law is desirable. In 2013, @JuliaGillard’s @AustralianLabor government amended the Sex Discrimination Act- stripping the meaning out of "man" and "woman" and adding gender identity as a protected attribute to be pitted against biological sex. Today's outcome is proof of what those amendments have done: women are left with no meaningful rights or recognition under the Sex Discrimination Act - a bitter irony, given that protecting women was the very purpose of the Act under our commitment to CEDAW. In my opinion, this is a verdict on the law, not on Sall. The judges found that the law - as that government amended it - left them no other conclusion. These amendments must be repealed. The Sex Discrimination Act must once again recognise biological reality and protect women's right to single-sex spaces. It is sad to see people actually thinking that Steve Hilton can win the governorship, or Spencer Pratt can win the mayoral election in Los Angeles. They don't understand California politics. Let me tell you two sad facts: neither thing can happen. Joseph Stalin once said words to the effect that the people who vote don't determine elections. The people that count the votes determine elections. But there's more than that in California, and Stalin would have been amazed if he had seen how this state has rigged elections. If everyone in the state voted for Hilton, and everyone in LA voted for Pratt, both would still lose. You think I'm exaggerating? Here's how Democrats have rigged the system. In California, every registered voter, alive or dead, legal or illegal, still in district or not, gets a ballot mailed to them. Every single one. In CA, ballot harvesting is legal. Which means the massive Democrat machine sends operatives out to collect those ballots that were sent to people who aren't there, or senile citizens in old folk's homes, or anywhere else they can, and votes them for Democrats. Then, they dump those ballots into the conveniently placed collection boxes that are all around the state, so the scammers don't have to go very far to drop them off. No need to actually pay for postage. Nope. Just drop them off. Then there's the fact that any ballot received within seven days after an election gets counted. If the Democrats need a little push, they just put those pre-postmarked ballots into the post office box, and they get sent to arrive in time to change the election results. The real problem is that there is no low-level Republican effort to rebuild Republican presence from the bottom up. The CA Republican party is a bunch of elite do-nothings who ask for money and then use that money for 'election events' like dinners, flights around everywhere, and pontifications. They're as big a bunch of grifters as Democrats are. They just have less power. So before you all go "Rah Rah!!! We're going to win!!!" Realize that not only is the deck stacked against Republicans, but the order of the cards in the deck are already determined. The winner of the California gubernatorial race will be whichever Democrat gets on the general election ballot. And the winner of the LA Mayor's race will be Karen Bass. Not because the people voted for them. But because it's the Democrat machine that "counts the votes."

Muslims electing Muslims exactly because they’re Muslims - they then govern as Muslims, for Muslims.
