🎯 Osmosis has repeatedly reduced the number of active validators to speed up block times. As a result of the drop in the $OSMO token price, the current validation rewards have become so low that many validators can no longer cover server costs and team maintenance expenses. 😡 As a consequence — a significant portion of validators are in jail (including top ones) with a request to redelegate. Just the top-15 jailed validators are holding about 27 million $OSMO in prison — no staking rewards are accrued on these tokens at all. 📊 According to the latest data, ~30% of $OSMO in the @osmosis network is blocked (jailed / inactive) in staking.
