It is with profound sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of Nathan Allman, Ondo's founder. Our hearts are with his family and loved ones. Nate’s brilliance, humility, and drive shaped every part of what Ondo is today. His belief in the power of technology to create a more open, accessible financial system lives on in everything we build. The impact he had on this industry, and on all of us personally, cannot be overstated. Nate also helped us build a durable organization with experienced leaders across all facets of the business. Ian De Bode, Ondo Finance’s longtime President, will serve as CEO. Ian has been leading our strategy, product, and day-to-day operations for over two years and has the full confidence of the leadership team. We will continue building what Nate started. That is the most meaningful way we know to honor him.

a TLDR on what @craftsdev actually changes now: 1. tokens represent real economic rights - traditional ICO tokens often had weak or indirect utility - those from Crafts are linked to company equity through a legal structure, giving holders a documented claim on future outcomes 2. price discovery becomes fairer - instead of insiders setting expectations before launch, bids remain private until the auction closes which reduces FOMO-driven price and front-running 3. whales have less influence - allocation caps by tier limit how much a single participant can acquire - smaller investors theoretically compete on more equal footing 4. privacy before, transparency after - bidding data stays private during the sale - results become publicly verifiable onchain after settlement the core thing is that investors are no longer buying a token because they hope someone else pays more later. instead, they are buying a token that has a direct economic connection to the success of the underlying company if this structure works it would be a significant departure from the typical ICO model that dominated previous cycles
