Sorry, I’m a “Blue Button” pusher. Here’s a very simple “push red” framing, and still 22% choose blue. Mankind is not purely logical or statistical, and it’s sensible to take that into account.

@depression2019 Don't worry, when it's an internet vote and nothing at stake everyone can afford a bit of selflessness. In real situations they all vote red. That's actually a problem, we as a society don't have enough blue voters.

@Yaw_nyame35 You forgot "house" waste that's not bio waste. Some parts of De don't differentiate. It is disposed by incineration. Plastic is almost unrecycleable, as opposed to glass. Plastic should play a part in our system but banned for 1 time usage items. Even water bottles.

In Germany you don’t just throw things in the bin. Paper. Glass. Plastic. Bio waste. Each has its own bin and each is collected on a different day. Get it wrong and your neighbor will clue you in 😄 I didn’t know recycling could be this serious until I lived here 🇩🇪

@DerGanesha Meine Fresse: das ist im Ausland billiger weil da schnell und billige Freileitungen gezogen werden, während bei uns alles unter der Erde liegen muss. Man will die aktuellen Freileitungen ja auch immer mehr zurück bauen und unter die Erde bringen. Deshalb bezahlst du solche Preise

@UziCryptoo You paid for temporary exclusive use of the house. Some sort of a rent. You do not own it if you can't dispose of it freely and fully. What w'd insitute a sort of real owneship is the inability of the state to liquidate the goods that are the subject of taxation. But still..

My home is paid off. My wife & I allegedly own it FREE & CLEAR. But today we got a bill for property taxes. If we don't pay it, ARMED MEN will come & take it from us & then cage me until I pay them MY MONEY. So do I own it? Am I really free? I already pay 35% income tax + easily another 15% taxes in: -Sales. -Gas & fuel. -Capital gains. -Plethora of other taxes. TAXATION IS THEFT. Property tax shouldn't exist.

Suddenly standing alone in the room, I begin by imagining humanity banding together and blue winning in a landslide, and I feel a rush of pride. Red is the genocide button. Blue is the “save humanity from this nightmare” button. I know what kind of person I am. As my hand hovers over the blue button, I can’t help but imagine a gun pointing at my head with a bullet in one of the chambers. I feel a surge of fear shoot through my body. Then I think about all the other people staring at the blue button and thinking the same thing. Surely some of those who initially decided to press blue will succumb to the fear. It starts to feel like a gun with two loaded chambers. A stronger pulse of terror. The more I think about it, the more I worry about other people thinking about it. My heart races. Then I look at the red button—a gun with no bullets in it. A glorious feeling of relief washes over me. Will I hate myself forever if blue wins because enough others were better and braver than me? But don’t I owe it to my family to protect myself? One vote won’t change anything anyway, right? It’s all irrelevant because the mammal I live in has already made up its mind. I wince and press red.

Germany has 1,300 different types of bread. They take bread so seriously UNESCO added German bread culture to its cultural heritage list. First time someone offered me 12 bread options for breakfast I thought it was a test. 😄🇩🇪
