They traded him because they didn’t like his attitude (as a young, dumb, elite hockey playing guy in his 20s). Incredibly dumb trade by BOS.

He’s one of the worst contracts currently in the NHL and has been for some time.
Most teams don’t get rid of a cost controlled young player coming off 30 goals and 67 points at 22 years old. Curious why Boston did? Might want to dig a little. Boston had major concerns about his pre disposition of hips issues and health overall. There was also sold off ice issues. Nonetheless, Tyler and his agent fought it with management but Boston didn’t trust those hips … turns out they weren’t wrong.

Sure, in the short term Tyler played well.
Unfortunately he’s been one of the worst contracts in the NHL the last half of that contract. Mostly due to health and hip issues. As Boston suspected.
Those type of contracts severely hurt a teams chance of winning the cup bc lack of depth.
Whatever the case, they traded him bc team doctors had concerns. They also didn’t love his off ice antics and prep. These aren’t secrets.

I think it's fine that U.S. men's hockey goalie Connor Hellebuyck was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom by Trump for allowing only five goals during the Olympics.
But why wasn't U.S. women's hockey goalie Aerin Frankel, who allowed only two goals during the Olympics, not also honored in this way?

Jones: I’m a second amendment absolutist. It is a right. Those rights come with restrictions. One of those restrictions is you have to have your ID and permit on you. Reports are he didn’t have either one. At that point, he’s not carrying legally.

I agree about the culpability. But I'm sure the constitutionality of interfering with law enforcement is not so straightforward. Regardless they are putting their lives at risk and there's going to be a lot more of this clearly. Not to mention that they are trashing their own city
