@iamrobinskies Actively safeguarding? Or trying to rig the result? Every voter was verified. To throw out hundreds because they came from the same IP address is a clear attempt at deciding the result.

FIFA signage ... all the way out at Renfrew & East 12 Avenue (Hebb Ave). Is this really necessary, or are they just running up the bill?

Why is the Broadway extension called a "subway" when it has above ground sections? The other lines are also above and below ground; why can't we just call them all "SkyTrain"?

ABC Vancouver is delivering a new pool for South Vancouver! The ABC-led Vancouver City Council has identified delivering a 25 metre pool at Sunset Park as a priority for the upcoming capital plan. This is a big win for the community members who have fought for so long to bring an outdoor pool to South Van and builds on the success of the recently-opened Sunset Seniors Centre. This is just one of the many ways that ABC is getting Vancouver back to community. We're also working to make beginner swimming lessons free and are investing $400M to replace five aging community centres to create a better future for families, youth, and seniors. #abcvancouver #backtocommunity #publicsafety #affordability

Hi everyone - I want to apologize for being absent for the budget vote today. I had planned to log in from outside the building and had trouble logging in. When I finally got on I was 20 seconds late. I should never have left the building and I apologize unreservedly to those who rely on me. This will not happen again.

@BagelPolling @One_BCHQ Choosing to leave this up instead of fixing it and reposting accurate results speaks volumes to your lack of professionalism and experience.

The one and only BC MLA to miss the final vote on the NDP’s budget, decided 46-45, was Dallas Brodie.

@KarmSumal It's well researched that people are more likely to get help when it's in their neighbourhood. Expecting them to go anywhere else than where they live is a recipe for failure, Karm.

Anyone who supports building support services only in the downtown core, city of Vancouver or DTES are approaching this wrong. Ripping out people from their communities and concentrating addicts and folks with mental health issues into a single area hasn’t work and won’t work. It’s a recipe for disaster. Rest of the region and Province need to step up. And bad faith operators need to lose their license, salaries and ability to operate any sort of NFP for a certain period of time. During that time they can go read up on fiscal responsibility, budget management and ethical use of taxpayer dollars. You want to help people? Start with accountability and stop with the weaponized compassion. That shtick isn’t gonna work anymore as citizens have caught on to the BS and no amount of pandering to these communities will work.

@preta_6 I can't believe you actually trust these results. Go look at the methodology and the "pollster" who just gave another poll a 50/50 rating of being accurate.

@wyatt_claypool @perianudan And she chose to get on the flight instead of paying how small of a fee to change it? It's a weak fucking excuse for her and you. You're not worth the $25,000 salary you're taking.

Vast majority of Thursday's Dallas' flight is book past the time the day is adjourned outside of the occasional ongoing committee meetings. She had been booked at the normal time when we should have booked her later. That is all. Also the budget would have passed anyways and the ghoulish sectacle of MLAs trying to catch Joan Phillip to weak from cancer treatments to vote is gross. Dallas apologized for not voting within the hour.

Respectfully, this doesn’t pass the sniff test. An MLA’s job has a few key commitments. One of them is ensuring nothing gets in your way of being able to vote. Nothing. It’s the primary reason an MLA is elected, it’s a promise you make to your constituents.
