@DangleSpanners @jdpoc @2ears2wheels This seems like a weekly occurrence!! Time and again drivers drunk/drugged/reckless/speeding kill innocent people and the toughest sentence is 2-3yrs, but usually less. It is an utter disgrace !!

Recently the law was changed to allow LIFE sentencing for a cyclist who kills a pedestrian. An extremely rare occurrence. Meanwhile ... Just 4 years for this drug-fuelled woman ... (Last 12 months, Killed by Cyclist, 1, Killed by drunk/high car drivers, 357)

Cycling on pavements is dangerous. Even to other cyclists. But we gave up on cycling laws decades ago for cyclists are the special people - or so it seems.

@ChaponaBike123 Not seen if confirmed, moved to a murder charge. I fear the CPS will move it to death by dangerous driving! The police must have had some serious scene evidence to initially go for attempted murder. If it is that is huge IMHO. Simply dreadful for the cyclist. Unimaginable.

@exolon @carlafrancome It is also so easy to edit the route, on a PC. Just click on route and drag it. The 'circular route' option is great. Also has some great route guides. Hope you find some epic routes with it 🙏

@CycleConfidence @carlafrancome Don't think I saw it before your post! It found the same low-stress cycle route I used to take along the canal from North Strand to Phibsboro where my boxing club was. Haven't experimented with the route/gravel options etc yet.

@exolon @carlafrancome Have you tried it before, or just from seeing me post about it above? I use it in Spain, best pal has villa near Torrevieja. We hire EMTBs and do 60mile rides through citrus groves and to beaches. In seconds it gives us amazing routes. Blows my mind its all done by one guy !

Going round M25 this morning a @clancy_group van was in lane 3, nothing in lane 1 or 2. Causing chaos behind it, oblivious. I found out why, driver sitting there no hands on the wheel, left hand holding food box, right hand shoveling food in! #dangerous #driver !

Teaching @BikeabilityUK at a school in Slough Mon-Tue-Wed. Looking forward to passing on my knowledge and enthausium to the children. I'll take a different bike each day, Hybrid Mon, MTB Tues and my BMX Weds. Kids love seeing my different bikes and asking questions. #activetravel

Based near Gatwick Airport, via #M25 its 1 1/2hr journey to the school. Its so worth it though when the children you are teaching are under represented in #cycling terms but bursting with cycling energy and desire. This is what @BikeabilityUK is all about. Today is a Great day

The Highway Code Rule 167 explicitly states that a driver must not overtake approaching or at a level crossing. The driver overtook in the prohibited zone, creating a risk of collision with other road users and trains. This conduct appears to contravene the Level Crossing Regulations and meets the definition of careless or potentially dangerous driving.

In #London early. Just by Francis Holland Prep school, just off Kings Road, Chelsea. Nearly every #child dropped off by huge 4x4s but it's cyclists that cause the traffic issues in London! Road is littered with them, double parked, chaos. Why the need for a 4x4 in a #city ?!
