This is the TSA agent who got annoyed that I opted out of facial recognition, then scanned me anyway. Officer Nemec, I filed a complaint. I’m not holding my breath for consequences, but I will make sure the public sees you ignored my rights. 🖕 Spokane airport. Checkpoint A.

@river_is_nice This isn't new- we've had pour measuring devices on liquor bottles for a long time Or you could run reports on the number of bottles used to correlate with drinks sold Each bottle has X + variable for mistakes

@ScoringChanges Not an obvious hit at all. The left fielder was not running to make the catch because he thought the SS had it. An easily catchable ball with a proper read on the ball by the appropriate defender. Only an “obvious hit” if it is acceptable for a defender not to get to the ball.

@jbillinson "Astonishingly close"? It's .16 seconds SLOWER than he himself ran it at the Paris Olympics. It's slower than all the eight finalists at the Paris Olympics. What's astonishing is that you'd post such drivel. olympics.com/en/olympic-gam…

@SamMonsonNFL How? It's mostly hasbeens and old people lol. Not like professional athletes are going to be there. Talent + roids > Talent Also you probably underestimate how much drug use goes on in the Olympics anyway...

@darrenrovell Of course you don’t understand. They made it clear before the series they didn’t want the arena to be MSG West, with rich Knicks fans willing to spend obscene money, pricing out local fans or them giving into the temptation of huge profit. Tickets also shouldn’t be a commodity.

I don’t understand this. When people buy courtside seats, they are making a massive investment. To not let them make it back at will seems asinine. Opposing fans? Courtsides are less likely to be Spike Lees. Making a margin? Charge more on primary then!
@jason@Jason

Well, I will be in the building for the 🧹 tonight… but @cavsdan has successfully blocked me from buying court side seats Backstory: Dan forced fans to sign a Docusign that they wouldn’t resell their court side tickets or the would face a lifetime ban from @cavs games (I was told first hand from ticket holders who wanted to sell them!)

Does Shai need to flop like this? Absolutely not — he’s one of the best in the game, however, he’s trained the refs to make the call, and he’s not going to just stop trying to get to the free throw line In order to put a stop to this action, there would have to be a consequence

A few things I am taking away from this: 1. It could have worked out far more in Tatis’ favor. When he took this deal he was in the lower levels of the minors. 2. It is your career, remember whatever decisions you make just have to be right for you. 3. It is hard to earn money from pro sports, protect it when you earn it, protect it when you invest it!

#FernandoTatisJr

Lots of commentary as to whether Big League Advance agreeing to pay $2M to Fernando Tatis on 10/17/17 for the rights to 10% of his MLB earnings is predatory. At the time, he was a Top 10 prospect. Here are the substantive pieces of the contract. Decide for yourself.

@bkrudy @darrenrovell He was a top 10 prospect at the time of the signing. I'm sure a much higher percentage of top 10 prospects make MLB.

@darrenrovell Only 10% of MiLB players make MLB. Only 25% get their six years of service from their initial signing that gives them their first major contract. So players know they have just a 2.5% chance of making it. So they take the guaranteed $2 mil to hedge their bet. Win-win.

Cake cutting fees are standard fare at nice restaurants. When I worked as a pastry chef, we charged $16/person, which was the price of our cheapest dessert. You get to bring your cake in, the restaurant doesn’t lose money on dessert (and they cut and plate it for you, too).

@brodo_baggins1 1. Don’t consider cash out unless it’s life changing money. 2. They be up at least 2-1 against any team out West. If you don’t cash out wait until this series is over. 3. You have come this close you better wait 4. If within reach hedge spurs or thunder to win at a profit
