I guess this is what you get with “No Child Left Behind.” Percentages depend on what number you’re measuring against. $600 → $100 means: Difference = $500 If measuring from the ORIGINAL price: $500 ÷ $600 = 83.3% decrease If measuring against the FINAL price: $500 ÷ $100 = 500% So yes, 500% is mathematically correct depending on the reference point. This isn’t politics or opinion, it’s basic math and a calculator.

If something costs $600 and drops to $100, that’s a 500% difference in relation to the final price, not “impossible” because it’s over 100%. Holding up a full glass of water like you just discovered algebra doesn’t make you smart, it makes you an idiot. Confidently wrong is still wrong.
