I agree: South Africans are not #Xenophobic. They are #Afrophobic. Thank you for your attention to this matter. I think @VusiThembekwayo missed an opportunity to condemn the targeting of #Africans in South Africa & by South Africans. He missed an opportunity to ask for legal protections for everyone. The question he chose not address is: how many of the killers of black Africans or the perpetrators of arson on their businesses or the leaders of these hate marches have been brought to account? Instead we have the leaders of @MYANC feeding the protests & making them kosher. There is no agenda to divide anyone. The only agenda is South Africa's #Afrophobia.

@ChidiOdinkalu @elrufai @SKefason @Audu @GMabeiam He needs to be born again, and render public apology for his demonic role as a governor, before coming out to the public to talk about the growing culture of detention. It's like a kettle calling pot black. That's the height of immortality

#VileLittleMan @elrufai abducted @SKefason from the #NigerDelta & nearly killed him in detention. He abducted @Audu from Lagos. Audu barely survived. A court managed to restrain him from doing the same to @GMabeiam. He failed in abducting me. Can someone pls tell him shut the f*#$ up & sit out this matter of detention. Whenever he opens his trap on the matter, he makes it worse.

NIGERIA UPDATE - Former Governor of Kaduna State, Malam Nasir El-Rufai, has criticised what he described as the growing culture of unlawful detention in Nigeria, warning that the practice undermines democracy and erodes public trust in government. Emeka Anyaoku was born two months before the 1st inauguration of #FDR #OnThisDay in 1933. He graduated from University College Ibadan - now @UniIbadan - with a degree in Classics as #CollegeScholar & began his diplomatic career in the @FCDOGovUK 3 yrs before #Nigeria became independent in 1960. In October 1983, he became #Nigeria's Foreign Minister. When @MBuhari toppled that government less than 3 months later at the end of Dec in the same year, Chief Anyaoku was lucky to return to @commonwealthsec, where, 6 yrs later, he was elected the Secretary-General. As Secretary-General of the Commonwealth, Emeka Anyaoku oversaw impressive outcomes, including the liberation of Namibia, & negotiations with @MYANC leading to majority rule in South Africa in 1994. He also dragged the Commonwealth into the world of #HumanRights with the #HararePrinciples. Emeka Anyaoku comes from Obosi in Anambra State, SE #Nigeria where he is the Senior-most titled Chief & holds the traditional title of #AdazieObosi. Today, he is 93. #HappyBirthday, Adazie Obosi.🎂🎉🎂🪘🎂

Last Friday, I had the privilege of empowering 100 entrepreneurs with disabilities at the Banquet Hall, Government House, Umuahia, with solar power systems to support their small-scale businesses. This initiative, in conjunction with the Renewed Hope Initiative and in partnership with TUDU Energy, a leading Nigerian solar energy company aims to promote economic empowerment and provide sustainable energy solutions. I urged the beneficiaries to strive for excellence, push beyond boundaries, and never let their disability define their potential. I believe they are the change-makers, trailblazers, and leaders of tomorrow, embodying hope, resilience, and determination. This donation represents our commitment to creating a more inclusive society, bridging the gap between ability and disability, and fostering a culture of equality, justice, and compassion. I extend my gratitude to Her Excellency, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, and Mr. Tuoyo Tudu, CEO of TUDU Energy, for their support and collaboration. Together, we can create a more inclusive and equitable society.
