Teams do not give up that kind of value for one year of a player, no matter who it is, even if they're confident they'll eventually be able to re-sign him. That means that for the Mets, they would likely have to center a trade for Soto around two of their most prized young players. Francisco Alvarez should be off-limits. But anyone else would have to be in play. That could mean Luisangel Acuña and Drew Gilbert. Or maybe it's one of Acuña and Gilbert plus Jett Williams.
