i often wonder how different the final season of the boys would’ve been if vought rising didn’t exist. if it was perhaps just an idea but nothing concrete. nothing set in stone where they felt the need to tailor the final season around a new spin off.

Anakin might have turned out genuinely fine with an actual father figure and a master that has trained someone before. As opposed to an inexperienced and overwhelmed older brother (who tbf really did try his best)

The knowledge that he can bend the rules while still being a Jedi means that he doesn’t feel the need to break completely from it like an on-off switch. Being forced into that binary resulted in his fall to the Dark Side.

Thank god Elton John fought as hard as he did to keep Rocketman as brutally honest as possible, because the film and Elton himself refuses to sanitize the darkest periods of his life.
