בלילה שבין רביעי לחמישי, לאחר שגנבו ציוד מאחד הבתים, חיבלו המתנחלים מקן הטרור המקומי שליד ח'ירבת א-טוואייל בקווי החשמל במקום. הם חתכו כבלי חשמל, ניתקו כעשרה בתים מרשת החשמל, וחיברו את ההארקה לחשמל - מה שיכול היה לגרום לאסון. לפני שלושה ימים הם ניתקו את הבתים ממים. בבוקר התקבל אישור מהמת״ק לתקן את החשמל. פעילים ששהו במקום ניסו להבטיח ליווי צבאי או משטרתי לחשמלאים שחששו לבוא למקום - ובצדק. הפעילים התקשרו לחטיבת השומרון ולמשטרה עשרות פעמים. כשהעזרה בוששה כרגיל להגיע, ניסו החשמלאים בכל זאת להיכנס לשטח עם מנוף ונחסמו במהירות על ידי חבורת מתנחלים צעירים וקטינים אלימים, שהגיעו בטרקטורונים והפעילו אלימות פיזית על הפעילים. הפורעים לוו על ידי מתנחל שתיזז בשטח חמוש בנשק ארוך ולבוש במדי צבא, ללא כל סימני זיהוי יחידתיים. הוא גירש את הפועלים והתושבים בטענה שאין אישור לתקן את החשמל ושאסור להם להיות בשטח (שטח פרטי פלסטיני, ממוסמך). בשלב מאוחר יותר הגיע גם נועם ג׳קסון "המבוגר האחראי" מהמאחז וחסם את הדרך לחשמלאים. בשלב מסויים, מחוסר ברירה, עבר הצוות לתקן את החשמל בית בית במקום לתקן את הבעיה המרכזית. עד עכשיו לא כל הבתים מחוברים לרשת החשמל.
