When Singapore, Japan, Hungary and Greece supports families to fight falling birth rates, it’s called demographic planning. But when Chandrababu Naidu garu does it in AP, suddenly it becomes a “freebie”? Supporting 3rd and 4th child is not vote bank politics… it’s long term thinking for population, workforce and economy. Some people will understand this only after 20 years.

I see people saying Lokesh garu should have more kids. Lokesh garu’s family size is his personal choice. Public policy is about giving support to families who choose differently. A govt doesn’t make education policy based on how many children ministers have. It makes policy based on society’s future needs. By that logic, only farmers should make agriculture policy, only doctors should make health policy, and only people with 4 kids should speak on fertility. Don’t mix private life with demographic planning.
