Local leftists and leadership are up in arms about a new appeals court ruling that suspended restrictions on ICE agents use of tear gas during rioting at the SW Portland ICE facility. The restrictions were put in place previously by an Oregon judge. This weekend, yet another No Kings protest is scheduled downtown. At the last protest, hundreds of protesters showed up at the ICE facility which quickly devolved into attacks on the facility, which led to ICE agents deploying tear gas. Portland Mayor Keith Wilson was quoted as saying, “We must hope protecting the rights of people peacefully exercising these rights ultimately prevails.” The mayor is regurgitating standard leftist dogma stating all protestors are protesting peacefully, something leftists and anarchists have claimed for years, even as they were lighting fires in federal buildings and police facilities. He is conveniently ignoring the rioting that has occurred throughout the city at several times in the last decade. It is also interesting that the mayor ignored pleas from residents of this same neighborhood about anarchists use of noise weapons last year, but now he is suddenly concerned for these same neighbors. Portland leadership continues to be led by the nose by the most radicalized fringes of the community. This has been proven over and over to be a poor choice, considering more reasonable voices are being ignored, and these same people are choosing to vote by using their feet and their lack of economic investment in the community.

Unanimously? There were FIVE (5) senators on the floor when the bill passed. I'm not sure you can call that "unanimously." On the other hand, the Senate bill gives everyone what they want, except it doesn't give ICE and CBP more funding. ICE and CBP are funded through 2029.

Long overdue post about the attacks on Ben Edtl by Coco and others. Plus Receipts showing Coco has changed how she talks about VBM drastically from just a few months ago. I challenge anyone to show me that Ben Edtl is a grifter, show me facts, receipts, proof. Ben is an imperfect person, not a true politician at all, but he IS exposing corruption in our state, and he IS being attacked because of that.

Just two things in response to all this. Perhaps it's all true, I don't know, but... 1) I've been following both Ben and Ed for a long time. I've seen Ben tell more than a few lies, and I've seen him attack a lot of people. I've never seen these attacks by Ed that you talk about. and 2) perhaps you have been on X for years, but THIS account has only been active for a week and that's about all I've got to go by.

Well im not anonymous, I use my full name so you know just who I am. Im PCP in Marion county, and a retired farmer. I filled out my Bio and all my info is in there. There's nothing anonymous about me other than I guess I don't have my photo up there--but that's just because im kinda ugly lol. If you want I can throw a Pic up, im not hiding who I am. I provide facts about Ed Diehl because he's not telling the truth. I spent months getting to know Ed prior to posting anything negative about him. All while quietly researching all his claims. Most panned out, only a few didn't so I let it go because it was minor and I could explain it away. I was, in fact, Pro Ed Diehl until I saw him attacking Ben Edtl online in what was clearly a coordinated attack on Ben. Having already researched and interviewed Ben from a previous post I'd written (thanks Ben for being willing to speak with me), Ed's story didn't line up with reality, Ben's did. NOTE: I didn't take Ben at his word either, but double checked everything he told me. Ben was very honest. I don't hate Ed Diehl at all, he's very pleasant to talk to and I agree with a lot of what he says. But he continually misrepresents his positions and things he has done. I didn't find that out until later when I did a deep dive on him. I've been posting the things I found, not to attack Ed, but because they are things I would want to know, and others do too. Not everyone has the kind of time I do (being disabled/retired), so I share what I find. Most people I talk to have no Idea that Ed only wants to deport violent illegal aliens for example. This is because he repeatedly makes statements that cause the listener to assume he wants to follow the law and remove illegal aliens. I feel very strongly about misleading people on purpose and it's 100% on purpose. His motives are very clear, he wants to sound like he's for removing illegal aliens to Republicans, but to moderate Democrats, he wants to sound like he will only deport violent criminals--which many if not most of them are all for. I can give more examples, but I won't waste our time unless you really want them. I've been active in politics and on X since I think August of 2024 I think? So, a little longer than a week 😉. I do not have a person I "really like" for governor, but if I had to chose right now, I'd probably pick Medina--he's untested, but he very clearly states what his goals are and is focused on fraud and election security. He isn't owned by anyone and has no ties to our current elected officials whom i'm decidedly unhappy with. You are free to vote for whoever you want, but know who you are voting for, ask hard questions, and make sure you agree with what that candidate actual stands for. If Ed hadn't attacked Ben, and i didn't know that what he was saying was not accurate, I might never have looked deeper and still be on Team Ed Diehl. Don't be afraid to ask questions. Just be prepared to be attacked--the people currently "in charge" of the Republican party here in Oregon will sick their people on you the SECOND you question what they say or aren't happy with their answers lol. Heck you might even be one of them. But on the off chance you aren't, I just gave up the 20+ minutes of my life trying to bring you the truth. What you do with it is on you.

Oregon may never improve at this rate. Our Republican candidates give us ZERO VOICE! One candidate shuts off all comments and the ones he allows, there are never any answers. One surrounds himself with pedos and has a drunk working his page that blocks almost everyone that asks a question she doesn’t like. The neither the mail order pharmacy I used to be with (OptumRX), nor the one I'm with now (CVS Caremark) will fill any scheduled drugs. I have to get them from my local pharmacy. I can kind of understand not wanting the liability of mailing scheduled drugs in this environment today with the theft possibility and all.

@VinoNStrosGal I guess I've just been really lucky, in that my local small town pharmacy has not given me any trouble filling my scripts. I get 60 10mg oxycodone a month and I'm also on clonazepam, but my new doctor is making me taper off of that.

What I don't understand: why didn't the fire truck stop? The Air Canada jet was VERY visible with its front landing gear lights on. Do they not look before they cross runways?! They just blindly follow instructions? #AirCanada
