@MindBodyBronx I thought about this recently. I had a brief encounter with a lady on the London Underground. She asked me for directions to another train and I didn’t know. Our eyes met, we smiled, and within minutes we’d have been miles away from each other, never to meet again.

@simonljones_ @oldboydavek @realityuk @timdavies_uk I don’t know the circumstances but he was a competent driver. On a busy motorway, you’d be relying on people to your left actually allowing you to limp across to the hard shoulder of course.
English

@DavidEmmz @oldboydavek @realityuk @timdavies_uk Just thing the car in the outside lane must have been doing 70+ miles per hour. Momentum would take it at least half a mile less if they brake.
English

Has the world gone mad here or is it just me?
EVERYONE sits at 70 to 80 on the motorway and only fucking idiots stop in the fast lane.

Barry O'Sullivan, 45, had been driving "at speed" when he collided with the back of a Nissan Micra, killing passenger Pulvinder Dhillon. O'Sullivan had been driving between 74 and 80mph at the time of the collision. trib.al/z74PbVe

@simonljones_ @oldboydavek @realityuk @timdavies_uk A friend of mine broke down on a motorway once. Car just cut out, he didn’t have a chance to pull over and his electrics failed meaning he had no hazard lights. He was just very lucky nobody hit him.
English

@oldboydavek @realityuk @timdavies_uk Obviously broken down I agree but doesn’t indicate and pull over to a safer lane or even the hard shoulder.

@sabrina777z @TheGriftReport I suspect that is because she is 86.

@TheGriftReport £1200 for a small Suzuki. jeez how is that not the story.
English

86-year-old widow Edna Nightingale was prosecuted by the DVLA over a single letter typo on her car insurance.
The retired farmer from Kirkbymoorside, North Yorkshire, correctly read out her Suzuki Splash registration over the phone to Swinton Insurance when renewing for £1,200.
A Swinton staff member typed an ‘F’ instead of an ‘S’, so the details did not match DVLA records and her car appeared uninsured.
She was convicted in her absence at Teesside Magistrates’ Court on 6 February under the Single Justice Procedure, given a three-month conditional discharge and ordered to pay a £26 victim surcharge.
The 86-year-old, who relies on the car as a lifeline to reach shops and doctors because of her heart condition, endured weeks of sleepless nights and distress after receiving the prosecution letter.
Her niece Nicola Booth has now stepped in to help with paperwork and the DVLA has confirmed it will review the case and may overturn the conviction.

@brightonsnapper How is that registration number UF 32 AB? Is it a special military issued plate or something?
English

@sphigel1 @ProfVocateur @akafaceUS True. Looks to me like neither driver was paying attention though.
English

@ProfVocateur @akafaceUS You should be mad about it. This is fucking psychopath behavior. Someone could have easily died from that.

@CatSupremacy9 @YourSouthend I’ve lived in England all my life and yes I guess I’m quite a miserable person. I did see the sunshine once and I seem to recall everyone complained it was too hot. Ironically they couldn’t cope with not feeling miserable. Anyway it’s raining today.
English

@YourSouthend England looks like the most miserable place on earth. Legit does the sun ever shine there? I’ve never seen an organic picture from GB without grey overcast 🌫️ skies ☁️

An Amazon Prime driver has got their van stuck in the mud in the Thames Estuary after they drove into the sea following a satnav route.
They were trying to reach Foulness Island, near Southend, to make a parcel delivery.
But the driver followed a satnav onto The Broomway which is an ancient tidal path across Maplin Sands with a long and dangerous history.
It regularly disappears under the sea, is covered by fast-moving tides and thick fog. It is not suitable for vehicles.
We published a video of the situation on our Facebook page and Instagram feed.
Security staff working for QinetiQ, which manages Foulness Island for the MOD, said the driver abandoned the van as the tide began coming in.

@nonsothegirlx I’m so glad you’re like this. My work colleague would start kissing her teeth if I even mention the word gay.

@GriftReport Notice he jumps over the gate but the OB just open it

@Dottysaccount @thealso I read about this car. Very interesting story too. He died recently I believe.

When I had a terrible toothache as a kid and my dad took me to LUTH but they asked us to come back the next week. On our way home we saw my mum’s coworker who suggested we used one weird mixture. I haven’t had a tooth ache since then.

One thing the world has erred in, is not supporting and funding the research of Traditional African Medicine. Because I bet a lot of diseases could be cured if they listened. I know women who took that one herb from an old aunty who cured bad period pains and hormonal imbalances.

@ifeeltheneed_ @DanielCars05 As in, folds the mirrors in but doesn’t straighten the front wheels?
English

@DanielCars05 My Mrs folds the mirrors in like that, it’s started a few wars i can tell you!
