Very excited to announce that we’re hiring for an AI-focused software engineering roles (both general SWE and ML-infra) at Blue Rose! This is a great chance to work with giant novel datasets and cutting edge ML/AI to help defeat Trump in 2026!

high trust society enjoyer voice: "It's all game theory bro. Just defect bro. Be rational. Heard of John Nash? equilibria? just defect, why can't you defect? Heard of the dilemma? the stags? I'm so smart. rationality makes me cum. Just DEFECT. I also enjoy killing CEOs."

I couldn't help myself one more table on this - within ideology, red-button pickers are ~4% more supportive of Luigi Mangione than blue-button pickers x.com/SoCal_Johan/st…

@davidshor How do the red and blue button pressers differ on support for Luigi Mangione and self described joyfulness? I would imagine that the red button pressers would be less joyful and more supportive of Luigi

To close out red/blue button discourse, we polled ~14k people and crosstabbed survey responses by 204 commonly used psychometric questions. The top four personality questions most predictive of button choice are displayed below

@davidshor I think that social desirability bias is affecting the polling In a real-life scenario, I’m worried that “blue” would poll at 70% and then get 45%

@davidshor @KooHo_jin You surely at least recognise the significant incentive effects at play and where they point, though?

This analysis is wrong imo, actual normies are just going to think "red does nothing and blue might kill me" and just go for red. Its midwits who misunderstood game theory and instead of understanding nash equilibrium they just registered "doing the lib sacrifice thing is good".
Aleph@woke8yearold

The red button vs blue button hypothetical is tailor made to create flame wars between average people who vibe the answer and anyone into decision theory It’s boring in that way, always creates the same argument

@davidshor Basically a proxy for selfishness. The fact there is a partisan split on this kinda says it all.

@razibkhan It is fun how much more Democratic/liberal Bengali-Americans are in the data relative to other Indian-Americans

The Outsiders (Alt / goth / stoner) crowd being almost equal is a truke. I would bet that number was so much more dem pre-Trump. Also why are the band kids voting for Trump

@neipate96 @HMBrough_ @Lux_Stella_ @maiamindel My high school in Miami was super diverse/mostly immigrants (plurality ethnic group was Colombians at 15%ish) so folks mostly sorted on ethnic lines, I mostly hung out with the “post-91 Russian Jewish immigrants with working class parents” clique
