Borrowers on Morpho have paid ~$170M in interest during the past year. Assuming a 10% take rate, the Morpho DAO would have generated ~$17M in annual revenue against a ~$1.7B valuation. For comparison: Aave has generated ~$140M in annual revenue against a ~$1.5B valuation.

Was a great convo. Enjoy.

Etherfi is now generating more revenue from Etherfi Cash (card) than all other verticals combined. Crypto cards are one of the best cash cow businesses in crypto (along with perp DEXs). I'm sure revenue streams for crypto cards & neobanks will 10x over the next 12–24 months.

Triple downside protection at 7% yield. Royco's savUSD Senior tranche is paying 6.95% right now. This week's average was even higher at 7.23%. However, this is even more interesting than it seems. @avantprotocol runs two tranches: - savUSD (Senior) - avUSDx (Junior) And also has a reserve fund. If losses occur, the reserve fund absorbs them first, followed by their Junior tranche. Finally, Royco's 4% coverage layer steps in if needed. You're earning a competitive yield on a super senior position with three layers of protection underneath you. Most people still don't understand how good this setup is.

@Main_St_Finance 😅 “no no but whats really gonna blow your mind is you cannot get easily access to this yield on the CME, it’s just what @MariaShen described as a real world yield to be tokenized and distributed onchain”

"Should Solana just give up on perps?" Logan Jastremski said no. Seraphim agrees and adds specifics. Pre-IPO stocks. Post-IPO stocks. Chinese equities. Power trading. GPU data. Data feeds. None of these exist as perps markets today and Seraphim sees Solana as equally capable of building them.

The Learning Pill 💊
The Learning Pill 💊@thelearningpill·
They seem to have the same yield source, but are architecturally different. @apyx_fi takes the diversified route > STRC-heavy but with SATA and cash equivalents in the mix, and has more DeFi surfaces to work with across Morpho, Curve, and Pendle > PT and LP yields on apyUSD and apxUSD are sitting at 11 to 14% today across Ethereum and Base @saturn_credit concentrates almost everything into STRC > USDat parked in T-bills until it moves to the staked side > Curve is live, Pendle is incoming For composability and leverage looping, Apyx has the clear edge right now. Saturn's real test is whether sUSDat yield holds above STRC's base rate once the Pendle integration is live. That is the number I'll be watching.

G | Ethena
G | Ethena@gdog97_·
Since 10/10 Ethena was poorly positioned for what has been a material regime change. In the last few months we have been building out the infrastructure to securely access alternate sources of safe and scalable collateral to better position the business for these periods of downturn. This is an important piece of work which should have been done a long while ago, but now positions USDe backing to experience less rate volatility during periods of suppressed crypto native interest rates. Going forward, once approved by the independent risk committee, USDe will have access to: -Basis on non crypto assets including commodities and equities -Institutional triparty collateralized lending via @coinbase @krakenfx @Anchorage and others -Prime lending across CeFi and @HyperliquidX -Liquid high quality non-tbill RWA exposures Each of the above represent multi-billion capacity opportunities with that will now sit alongside the existing USDe collateral base to improve the product resilience through the cycle.
Ethena@ethena

USDe reserves are evolving: reducing concentration and building resilience across market cycles with a diversified collateral base. Four additions to the collateral backing are detailed below for consideration by the risk committee, each a natural extension of existing Ethena allocations: → Overcollateralised institutional lending → High quality liquid RWAs beyond TBills → Equity & commodity basis exposure → Prime lending Read more below on proposed updates:

To clarify: there is no proposal to unlock any WLFI tokens, you just told the interns to write one up asap so you can keep the plebs at bay and distract us all. Just do as you say, and release it then next week. This should have happened forever ago. You are unilaterally in control of this protocol, meaning it’s not decentralized in any way. I have no WLFI to unlock, but many others do and frankly, I worry about the blowback and bad PR for this industry if you fail as a protocol. I’m hoping you don’t fail because if you do, I’ll never hear the end of it and good DeFi builders and investors will suffer. You failed to handle the WLFI unlock in the bull so now you’re making it up as you go (albeit with AI generated copy) and so you may pay some consequences of doing a haphazard job eventually with the token unlock. Also, ffs someone explain that if WLFI ever drops more significantly and you’re at risk of liquidation with your mispriced clown collateral, to “simply supply more collateral” is not a plan. Have a DeFi OG explain the “steady lads” reference dating back to Terra’s collapse and then feed that into ChatGPT for the next time you ask “how should we respond to this FUD” 🤡 Note: I have no unvested WLFI and I have no short position in WLFI. I just am annoyed by these clowns getting away with a lot and giving true DeFi a bad look.

WLFI@worldlibertyfi

To clarify: this is not a proposal to unlock all tokens at once. The vote will be on a long-term vesting and unlock schedule for retail early purchasers — a structured, phased approach designed with the long-term health of the ecosystem in mind.

Tokenized STRC (@Strategy) yield could be a massive source of RWA yield for DeFi yield investors. Since recording, we know of three teams having launched STRC-backed yield-bearing tokens on Ethereum Mainnet. @apyx_fi ($110M) @saturn_credit ($40M) @BuckToken ($2.5M) In the latest @Edge_Pod, @CJ_Bitcoin from @Strategy explains why DeFi could be massive for the distribution of STRC's 11.5% yield.
