I hate how deeply unserious online discourse has gotten. I guess we can see MAGA paying the price now with the midterms coming up, but man what a horrible few years it’s been watching a bunch of 90 IQ people convincing a bunch of 70 IQ people that they’re geniuses.
hoe_math = PsychoMath@ItIsHoeMath

I try not to talk about Destiny because he's too disgusting and stupid, but you should watch this clip of him. He is refusing to accept the obvious definition of one word in one sentence inside of the larger argument. This is the tactic that libfilth uses to avoid having arguments that they know they will lose. Watch the clip several times. Let it sink in. Observe how the other guy says one simple thing - "immigration is bigger than ever (unprecedented)," and then instead of having the argument that includes that fact (along with many others), Destiny questions the meaning of the word. Now the argument is about just that one fact. Not only that, but it is now impossible to include that fact in the argument because one of the words in it has been tampered with. It is not possible to force Destiny to accept any definition of this word. So instead of talking about mass immigration and how bad it is for white people, they are now arguing about exactly what "unprecedented" means. That argument can and will go on forever as long as Destiny is allowed to be such a worthless jackass. Imagine you have two sons, and one of them keeps taking the other one's toys. You say "stop playing with your brother's toys." Your misbehaving son says "I'm not playing with them, I'm posing them." You say "stop posing them then." He says "I'm not posing them anymore, I'm displaying them." You say "stop touching them entirely." He says "technically, substances do not touch at the atomic level. You see, the electromagnetic forces..." Your son knows exactly what he's doing wrong. He just wants to get away with it. The solution to this behavior is not more words, it's a swat across the face. Using this tactic to muddy the waters an important political conversations must be treated as a crime. People like Destiny should be in solitary confinement for the rest of their lives.

@SeanTrende @EggerDC @EWErickson What if the reason Christianity is shrinking and dying off is because there isn’t a strong case being made anywhere publicly that Christianity and liberalism really do sync up quite well. Instead all we see is the most fascist and evil aspects of Christianity on display, always.

@EggerDC @EWErickson I think the dynamic is either that they only get the media caricature of Christianity or went to a bad church that only did hellfire and brimstone, and then they hear the core "Jesus is love" verses and assume that none of the evangelicals have heard them either.

Just spoke with Steve Toth who defeated Dan Crenshaw in TX-02 Republican primary last night. He's served with Dem. Senate nominee James Talarico in the Texas House, and held NOTHING back: "I served with James Talarico from 2019 to today. This guy is as evil as they come. There is a darkness to this man's life. If you doubt that there is a wickedness and evil and a demonic presence in the world, you only have to look at James Talarico. He's an awful, awful person." @SteveTothTX

America will lose a principled conservative voice in Congress. Dan Crenshaw is a patriot, a war hero, and a serious conservative who has defended his country, the Constitution, and the institutions that sustain our republic. At a time when our politics too often rewards outrage and empty slogans, Dan has led with substance, courage, and a genuine commitment to public service and to the Permanent Things in American conservatism. The current trajectory of the Republican primary electorate is moving in a different direction. Across the country, thoughtful, principled conservatism is being displaced by populism untethered from the constitutional order and the institutional framework that makes American self-government possible. That should concern anyone who cares about the long-term future of the conservative movement and the nation. America does not benefit from having two progressive parties—one of the left and one of the populist right. The country needs a strong conservative coalition grounded in limited government, constitutionalism, free enterprise, and respect for our institutions. “I am a conservative. Quite possibly I am on the losing side; often I think so,” Russell Kirk said. “Yet out of a curious perversity I had rather lose with Socrates, let us say, than win with Lenin.” Dan embodies those conservative principles. That’s why I went to work for him and why it remains one of the best decisions of my life. Whatever the future may hold, Texas and America are better because of his service. And I am better for having served under his leadership. Proud to be on Team Crenshaw.
