@AmazonMGMStudio Theater is expensive, you don't always get a good seat and there's invariably some a-hole who checks their phone 15 times throughout the movie with their phone light like a cutting laser to my gloucoma-ridden eyes. I'll take my couch with my puppies and my 70" TV any day.

You know what really bugs me these days? We can't own anything. Everything is a subscription service, like literally everything. You can't buy Microsoft Office, you have to purchase a subscription for a year. You literally have to pay for everything FOREVER. Isn't anyone else bothered by this?

@Dellos I always thought of it like the Next Gen Enterprise crew were the A students in class, while the Orville were the C students. Not as polished. Not as heroic, but still getting the job done with more than a passing grade.

The reason I like The Orville is because they are not heroic people doing heroic acts, they are people like us who have flaws like us who occasionally do heroic things. As I write this on 03 18 2026 I miss all those characters very much.

@CherokeeOwl In Oregon you have to post the price of an item. Adding 25% after the fact like this would be illegal.

People are divided on this. A restaurant automatically added a 25% tip to every dinner bill. The owner says it guarantees fair pay for servers. Some customers say tipping should always be optional. Should restaurants be allowed to add automatic tips?
