In ~2 hours total screen time: - The NB character has more screen time than most of the original cast (who people actually want to see) - A brown (black?) woman's entire backstory is about cops being abusive and covering each others' crimes - The main supporting character from the original show is suddenly gay with giant earlobe disks - A white boy randomly turns into a creep demanding boob pics, and doubles down after being called out - A white man in the coast guard gives a speech at a party literally calling himself macho and flexing his biceps... then ducks under a table when a glitter bomb explodes - More generally, every woman/NB outsmarts the men at every turn and keeps their cool as the men freak out

I know one guy who’s doing something very illegal 👎👎👎 He buys a scratched up Nintendo 3DS XL for $70, swaps the shell to a rare collectible one for $30 in 30 mins. He has contacted some manufacturer in Vietnam to reproduce the Nintendo box exactly for $10/box, and changes the barcode each time. He will put the inserts, charger, 3DS XL etc into the box and seal it. He will rough it up a little bit so it looks realistic. He will even use a recipe printer to print out a fake store recipe for the console and make it look very old. He will pay a guy $20 to X-ray the box so collectors can see the inside of the “sealed” console. He then sells them on eBay under numerous false accounts for $1,300/ unit. He told me he’s sold 50+ of various limited edition Nintendo consoles. Buyers can’t tell the difference. $1,150 profit per unit roughly. $50k profit from forgery. Only learnt about this recently, reporting him to his nations police right now.

Saga Frontier's English localization changed the name of the monster protagonist Coon to Riki to due to potentially offensive connotations in English. Square Enix's localizer claims that a character would likely not be named something like Coon even in the original Japanese versions of games in modern times, because creators now localize at the source to make their products as "safe" as possible to appeal to the lowest common denominator who can't comprehend that the world doesn't revolve around their sensitivities. Localizers should not have to change Japanese works to be "less offensive to a target region," it's the audience that needs to understand they're choosing to engage with Japanese media & as a result it will naturally contain elements that might be viewed differently in their culture. Anyone who cannot understand or accept that doesn't even deserve Japanese media. Localization at the source is a detriment to Japanese media, as it places arbitrary levels of personal offense over genuine creativity. #FreeCoon!

I think what makes Superstars better than Mania for me is that I can tell too much that Mania is made by Sonic fans. Superstars feels like you gave a team who makes DS/3DS shovelware to design with a good physics system. Which leads to a game more focused on platforming.

Ok, I need you to be honest... We were a little too hard on this game when it came out? Diamond and Pearl was great, and honestly, looking at this game now, the art style is pretty cute and polished. Maybe not as good a remake as ORAS for its price, but respectable... or no?

So. Disney brings Back Malcom in the Middle, which ended decades ago with a proper send off. They made Stevie gay, despite him crushing on Malcolm’s babysitter, pretending to be in critical condition to get another girl to like him, there’s stacking amounts of evidence proving he likes girls. And the child Hal and Lois had at the very end is, wait for it……..non binary. If you had even a shred of hope that you were going to “relive the glory days” you were kidding yourself. Disney owing this, backed up with the negative reviews should have been the dead giveaway. Don’t waste your time, it’s modern Disney being modern Disney again, and again, and again!
