Refs have officially made a statement that this one will end via 5 on 5. That was Diddy levels of too many men, no call. I kinda like this. No whistles just someone figure this out even strength

@FriedgeHNIC Don’t some teams stay in a hotel when playing at home? I thought the Blackhawks did it in their dynasty

Interesting stuff from Lindy Ruff postgame: Sabres, 5-1 on road and 2-4 at home, are considering ways to make next 48 hours more of a road environment for themselves.  Ruff says, like before Game 6, 90 per cent chance Sabres don’t practice or skate. Eases the pressure.  He also said team was too tentative. He used the phrase “JFG” in film session this morning, saying he’d rather they make a mistake of aggression instead of being too passive

I’m going to adopt a dog in Wheeling, WV tomorrow. Hey @BizNasty2point0 where should I take my lady for a nice meal in wheeling so she doesn’t take my dog? Thanks

Pittsburgh Zoo & Aquarium is set to trade gorillas with Boston’s Franklin Park Zoo. Frankie, Pittsburgh’s 7-year-old male western lowland gorilla, will head to Boston, and in exchange, Boston will send 33-year-old Little Joe the silverback @TribLIVE 🦍 triblive.com/local/regional…

@UnionAndBlue Remember when Stan involved the same player in two different trades and lost them both times?

@FriedgeHNIC No other decent centers available in free agency. Had to pay him because if CBJ did not, someone else would lol

@CdFires Trading from a position of strength to get a franchise-altering forward is the dumbest idea you've seen?

@_hawkeytime His free agency work sans Bertuzzi leaves alot to be desired. As does his development of Dmen. Korchinski and Levshunov. And his drafting in round one only, is suspect thus far. His strengths have been contract negotiations and trades. From my perspective.

Are you suggesting that moving out a locker room cancer and one of the worst NHL contracts for a young number one goalie and a 1st round pick wasn't a big trade/move? Or that moving Jason Dickinson (both transactions) and Connor Murphy for a 1st round pick and two second round picks wasn't a big move? Or that acquiring Petr Mrázek for a 1st round pick wasn't a big move? Look. Sure Kyle hasn't traded for a "superstar" But to suggest his trading/making moves is lacking is just bat shit insane. He has one of the best trade track records in the game.
The Rinkside General@RinksideGeneral

One of the biggest differences between successful rebuilds and failed rebuilds is the ability to make important trades. The most famous one is Florida trading for Tkachuk. When Cutter Gauthier unexpectedly became available, Anaheim jumped in and made the trade happen. When Montreal realized they had a huge hole at RHD, they made the trade for Dobson happen (and they'll probably make a couple more moves this offseason). Buffalo is nowhere near their current position if they didn't fleece in the JJ Peterka deal. Even non-rebuilds have made a living off those moves (Carolina making the most of the Rantanen situation, Minnesota trading for Hughes, Colorado trading for two goalies and for Devon Toews and Kadri and several others, etc.) The biggest disconnect between Kyle Davidson and the #Blackhawks fanbase is that so far, he's *tried* to make big moves but has failed. Once he closes out a big deal, the fanbase's narrative will quickly change.

@Blackhawks8823 Absolutely. Davidson's generally been good at trades, but he hasn't had to make a huge move yet. With the position the Hawks in right now, they likely need to find a huge piece in a trade.

It’s wild to me that both the punch and hit were intentional, yet nobody talked about the hit. Do people understand how dangerous boarding is? Greig deserved the retaliation but that doesn’t mean it’s any better of a play.

I hate consulting adult cardiology so much. It’s always a painful experience. Do you think I’m calling you because I like you??? I’m calling you because someone needs to read the big bad squiggly lines before I can give my chemo
