Focusing on a "3 year high" intentionally misses the fact that prices as a whole increased $21% during the Biden presidency which we are still reeling from. An economy can't adapt when prices rise that quickly and it takes YEARS to recover. If the Biden presidency had 4 years of this "super duper scary" inflation it would still be only 15%. 40% of the inflation number is due to energy prices, and once those stabilize, which they WILL, inflation will go down and this higher inflation month will be a whisper in the wind.

Agreed. I don't think it will be granted. It's really just so they can have more ammo to say that the Supreme Court is corrupt or whatever. They just want to be able to say they tried it all. The funny part, is that Democrats complain to no end about the Shadow Docket but that is what THIS is. They are just calling it by it's official name Emergency Application or Emergency Docket. Hypocracy at work.

Ok, so the AG of Virginia, Jay Jones, has filed an emergency appeal to the United States Supreme Court asking them to overrule the Virginia State Supreme Courts ruling, and while he may have sent it through spellcheck this time, he failed to change templates..because this one is still going to the Supreme Court of Virginia. The incompetence is mind blowing. 😆😆😆

I'm not a fan of what Virginia Democrats are doing either, but the wording here is actually correct.

Very weird that cover page states "On Emergency Application to the Supreme Court of Virginia." That's the styling for a petition for a writ of certiorari, but it makes no sense to say that the emergency application is "to" the Supreme Court of Virginia.

The emergency application DOES apply to the Virginia Court here. I know we all want to dunk on this but here they are asking the US Supreme Court to apply the Emergency Application of a "stay" TO the Virginia Supreme Court ruling. The wording is correct here. I think it just goes to the fact that most people don't understand what Emergency Application of a "stay" are and how they're used. If it had said "Emergency Application to the US Supreme Court that would be impossible. There is no higher court can apply a "stay" to the Supreme Court.

The "what" is a "stay". They want to apply emergency application of a stay ON the Virginia Supreme Court. The funny part is this is the "shadow docket" that they have complained about for years and here they want to use it when it benefits them but they call it by it's true name "emergency application".

Once Bitcoin stabilizes over $80,000, many people on the sidelines are going to start questioning the 4-year cycle and whether the low is already in. Plenty will begin to buy back in, driving the price closer to $90,000, and then a reflexive surge takes us back to $100,000. From there, it's game on again. True cycle peak sometime in 2027.

@GovernorVA When you ask a large group of people if they want to "restore fairness" and give them a yes or no option, people who don't know what it is will vote yes. It was intentionally misleading and I'm sure that was the intention of those who drafted the wording.

I think this is the last straw for me. I still followed and read this publication because I wanted to do my best to not be in a vaccum, and no one is happy that people got shot during this incident, but the framing here is so over the top biased that even Gemini can't get around how the author spun the facts to fit his narrative. Of course nobody is ok with what happened, but he was attacked by the first person and then swarmed and hit with the treads of a skateboard in the head by the second person. That is completely different than simply "opening fire" which makes it seem like he was some active shooter. AI is available for everyone to research any of this themselves. I hope more people wake up to this.
